Wow. If that crops up for sale somewhere I'm going to start making room in the garage for a 250!
That add on trunk is just bizarre enough that it fits!

I hear ya. I was trying to find info on those rumored 400cc Chinascoots from last year, and found that 250cc. I am wanting to upgrade from my 150cc, but haven't found the right scooter - that and I am flat broke. ;-)
I sat on a Morphous years ago. At 6ft tall, I felt a little oversize for it, but I could probably make it work.

Well, they don't sell them here anymore, and when I do find a used one it's so far out of my price range it doesn't matter!
Yeah, I'd probably be a player for one...
Now if someone would just offer it!

I would love to have the real thing. In my area I've seen one for sale but it was way out of my range. If find one for the price you mentioned - that would be great.
I just think that they will become very rare, and the ones that are left will become very expensive because of the collectors item quality.
But yes, I'd consider a 250cc clone if the price was right. Obviously I wouldn't pay anything approaching what the real thing would cost.

KH,
Thanks,
That's close, and a nice looking bike in it's own right, but it has more squarish lines than the Morph. The Morph and it's clone just looks sleeker to me.
The first time I saw one I thought it was a scooter than had been customized to get than look.
Then I learned it was made that way from the factory.
After that I learned it was no longer being sold here!

Of eight Morphous scooters listed at Scooter Finds, all but one is listed at or below $2,500. The two auctions currently at $100 have reserves. I am sure a clone could be had for much less than $2500.

turts,i'll continue to look for some low priced genuine morphous, hang in there. hold on to your cash,i don't want you to experience the "Clone it, regret it" kinda thing. whoever believes in morphous (like you and tek),deserves a true blue morphous. if orehor can buy a $2000 (what i was told)worth of morphous, you can do it too. i think fall or winter is when people starts to sell cheaper scoots.

I see a well worn Silver Wing in San Antonio for $995 on CL
The Morphous is very different looking. Still wonder how a 6 footer 34" inseam can ride it.

if you can ride a 2009 Znen 150cc 7C comfortably,, so much so with the Yamaha morphous. but that $995 silverwing might be a good buy too.

I wouldn't cry if I had a silverwing... as long as it was pink...

That is the reason so many Chinese scooters use the same engines. They use each others EPA approval. I don't like the term "clone" because that infers the same DNA. These don't have a fuel injected double overhead cam 4 valve engine.
