I have a Ice Bear trike question... How do you get the the tranny fill and drain bolts out? Mine are between the rear chain sprocket and tranny. My factory bolts were put in with some kind of impact tool as were all my other trike bolts... really tight.... actually too tight! It looks like I have to remove the chain and drive sprocket before I can get a tool on the drain and fill bolts. How did you get to the fill and drain bolts on this model? Cheers...

Hi Trike20, the Fill bolt is right in front of the Sprocket, when lokking at the sprocket you can plainly see two screws. One is right on the edge of the case that one is to hold the case together the other is the fill plug and its not by the edge of the case. Actually if you look at it it has a little bump on the case. You can get a wrench on it and unscrew it. The Drain is under the case by the CVT side, when you are looking at the Clutch bulge of the CVBT its under like even with the left side of the Clutch CVT as you looking at it. You can't miss it. Dwild62 I believe took pictures of where they were because I asked the same question. Alleyoop

Look in this thread page 4 toward the bottom. Dwild62 took pictures of the fill and drain plug. MY 2009 ICE BEAR PST150-11 SUPER TRIKE

trike20 They probably used Loktight (Thread Locker) on them.. The drain plug is on the bottom just below the clutch, which will break loose w/ a good 3/8 drive ratchet & a good 10mm socket, preferably 6 point. Be careful, it pretty easy to strip that aluminum.. Taking the drive chain & front sprocket off to take the fill plug out is the safest way, after that shouldn't have to take chain & sprocket off for filling, but it is a real be-och to do w/ out removing the chain & sprocket..
Also DO NOT PUT MORE THAN 110 CC of gear oil in the gear box because it will spit gear oil all over everything, & gear oil is tough to clean up especially when it's cold.. Take my word on that, I know because I went though it..
Happy Holidays, & Be Safe..

Thanks David, My bolts are not where I can get any tool leverage on them. They are in so tight that I would strip the head off without a proper tool fit and room to get some tork on it. No locktite... it's China... don't think they have that stuff there:) I have located the bolts... no problem, just cannot get any form of tool in there. Too much stuff in the way so I cannot get the super tork needed to break the factory seal. All my factory bolts are really super tight. They must have used a pneumatic tool set way too high. I am concerned that some of them may pop from being too tight... just what you would not expect on a scooter. Had the same problem with first use of the oil fill and drain bolts I will have to remove the chain and sprocket... then no problem.

Trike20, When you take off the Sprocket and Chain Count the teeth on the Sprocket or see if its mark. I am looking for a sprocket with a few more teeth. Thanks Alleyoop

trike20 Ya, they have thread locker over there.. I would recommend that once you can get to the bolts, use a block of wood or hammer & give the wrench or breaker bar a dead blow.. A Dead Blow is better than steady pressure. Less likely to break or strip a bolt that way..

Love the look of the ruckus clone trike!
I can't really tell from the photos, but can you adjust the valves and work on the engine without a 2 hour disassembly first?

Yup... had to use a 2X4 to the wrench handle to undo the oil drain and fill bolts the first time.
I will count the teeth and look for any ID stuff. I may be looking for a few more teeth also.
Just replaced the California carb and re-jetted and JB blocked the enricher ports today... first quick run test was good... Power is up! That's the next project....

Yes the 150-8 trike does not have all the plastic in the way so you can easily get to the carb and motor. It has a metal plate above the motor that I have removed so I can lift the seat and get to everything. My new battery mount is in the way a little but it can be removed with 4 screws.

Great job with the handlebar upgrade. I need to do the same thing. Would you mind sharing your supply sources and part numbers?
Thanks, DB

Why did you sell your Trike?
I've been looking for the same trike and I'm curious to find out, after all your modifications, why you decided to sell it?
Do you have the information to where you bought your trike...I've been looking all over for a CA approved trike like this one? I Google Sunny Sports and it's not a scooter retailer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
