I know there's tons of people that talk about big bore kits of various makes, but has anyone done a 90cc 1E50QMF engine swap outright? Are the dimensions the same for all the mount points as a 1PE40QMB?
The reason I ask is that it, assuming the dimensions are correct, it seems like it would be fairly easy to install a 90cc 1E50QMF engine with a 19mm or 21mm carb, you could probably re-use your CDI although I don't know that for certain.
I'm trying to open up some options for 2T enthusiasts. Google for 1E50QMF, they seem to be $470 and you can get an electric choke 19mm for $45-60. Or free if your scoot already has one.

Oh cool! That's good to know that the bolt patterns on the mounts are all the same. It looks like yours came with a carb too. I think instead of spending the money that way I'm going to get my motorcycle endorsement and get the 150cc version of my scooter. Instead of $1800 new they are $2400 new and you get 13.1 hp instead of 3.7 like with my 49cc.

That link is not mine. I got my 90cc scooter for $62 and change off of ebay, just got lucky. With a few mods, it's a little faster than the 150s it's raced with exhaust, filter, and jetting.

As a "bang for the buck" way to go, the 90cc engines get mixed marks. The transfers are really small, and although they are good for torque, they aren't neccessarily faster than they same money put into a 70cc kit, carb., gear-up kit, tranny stuff, etc.
I.M.O., 150cc four-strokes aren't that much fun. With a big bore kit, they are starting to get there.

That torque is great if you're fat like me though. lol When I rode a 70cc, not that it was a fast 70, it had to rev to get me going in town. This one has torque that will get me going without everyone pitying the poor scooter hauling the big dude around.

I know this is an old topic, but does anyone know if the Yamaha 90cc top end can be put on the 50cc case? I was thinking if it can be done, then grab a crank and carb, that should make an easy project.

nobody has them in stock you will have to find a used one i been search for a long case one for over a year i check ebay every day, there is more short case one, those are easy to find or you can make your own by bore the cases out and putting the 90cc crank in it with a 50mm bore but on 49ccscoot.proboards there is a lot of info on how
