I am locked out of my underseat storage on my Flyscooters il bello. Typically I would turn my key and the seat would be unlocked and spring up an inch or so. Now when I turn the key I get a new "click" sound after turning the key all the way to the right. Turning the key does not unlock the underseat compartment!
My tools, motorcycle safety card, registration, etc etc is under the seat. I can only bend the back of the seat up about 2 inches before the bending becomes excessive. I'm worried about getting pulled over and not being able to provide the required documents.
Obviously the key turning mechanism is out-of-whack somehow.
I don't see a way to unlock it, any ideas?

I would look up from underneath and see if you can get access to the latch. I'm assuming that you should be able to pull a cable to release the latch.
The other option might be trying to unbolt the seat at the hinge side. you might be able to get at the nuts from the front edge and pull up the seat that way.
Of course that just gets you access to the goodies inside, but doesn't fix the latch.

if you cant get it out, you can always drill it out and replace the lock.start with a 1/8 bit,and insert the drill bit (in drill, spinning, lol) as you would the key.keep moving up in drill bit sizes untill all the tumblers come out.you cant mess up anything, because its already broken!.after you drill it out, put a large flat head screwdriver in there and give it a twist.hope you get it fixed the easy way tho'! good luck to you sir.

If the lock you're talkng about is like our Xingyue and on the ignition switch, then the switch is a POS design and it fails. If you have a seperate lock, then it's not so bad. You should be able to reach up and under and manually get to the cable in either case and release the seat.

I cannot reach anything from under the scooter. There is seriously no room to fit my arm through, and I lack a tiny robotic arm. Hmm...
Before I start drilling holes in the lock, I think I need to take it to a dealer and let them deal with it. If only there was a Flyscooters dealer in 30 miles from me... grr.

IF you have AAA, you could call them for lockout service

I would use something like a stick with a curtain hook on the end to feel around for the cable, once you got the cable just pull down on it a bit and it should pop right open.

I would try taking off the plastic and see if the cable is loose. Maybe you need to adjust the cable to the release mechanism. Or you can pull on the cable and get it to release and open up the seat.

You can always pull the plastic off the front to get to the front end of the cable.

If your body work is at all like mine, you may be able to take off the panels that cover the latch itself, and open it by hand.
When it clicks, where is the noise coming from?

Thanks guys, I am going to try the coat-hanger idea. I think the key turning is pulling the cable because I can feel the same tension as before, but I think the cable is not engaging the release like it used to...
Maybe I'll make a video of me tugging and pulling on the seat to no avail.

if you can pull up the rear of the seat about two inches. and pry open the battery compartment lid with a flat bladed screwdriver, then the latch can be visible and accessable with a long screwdriver...probably need flashlight as well.
