After I run it sometimes the starter won't fire the engine, it turns over fine just won't fire up. I can give it one kick and it will fire right up.
Is the choke off? Carb flooded? Not a big deal just curious what would cause this.

Firing right off of the kick starter rules out any carb problems. I have to suspect that the starter is drawing to much current (what we call a hot starter) and robbing the coil of the power it needs to fire.
Just an idea.

After I run it sometimes the starter won't fire the engine, it turns over fine just won't fire up. I can give it one kick and it will fire right up. My 3 year old 139QMB developed similar symptoms. It would fire right off when cold with electric start, and the electric choke (enricher) would transition from fast idle to slow just fine. When warmed up, if only shut off for around a minute it would also electric start just fine. If shut off for longer periods (but not cold), the engine just did not want to electric start, but would always fire right up with the first kick. Trying different grades of gas and throttle starting techniques didn't make any difference. Cold engine valve lash was .002 inches, verified fuel flow, air filter foam element was clean (not oily), couldn't find any vacuum leaks, and was adding one ounce of SeaFoam per gallon of gas. Finally cleaned the carb and the issue went away. The engine now always electric starts when warm with just a slight twist of the throttle. The carb bowl looked clean and the 35 low-speed and 85 main jets were clear. Just speculation, but spraying carb cleaner through the low-speed port (back-flushing) under the throttle (butterfly) valve may have cleared some internal passageway obstruction.
