I have xingyue ITA-150. And when I apply the front brakes I hear a thud coming from the steering shaft. I took off all of the front plastic and see that there is some play between the brass nuts and the black steering "column". I tried to tighten and loosen the bras nuts and I could not move them at all.
any ideas...or do you think i need to keep working on the brass nuts?
The top of the steering tree on a scooter is a bit like a bicycle. There is a collar that adjusts the actual pressure/tightness, then there is a jumbo nut that keeps it good and tight...ends up functioning more like a locknut. The locknut needs to be loosened in order to adjust the collar. The collar needs to be tight enough that the steering moves freely without any wobble.

marklorenzi: I just bought one of the Fleetwoods. They look like a clone of the Honda XRM's they sell overseas. It is in transit now and I should get it this week. I will try to post my experience here. Call me the guinea pig hahaha.
