Tried to make a video today but the vibration of the scooter causes the camera to stop recording. Dont have anywhere else to mount the camera I follow an interesting fellow on youtube; M13 who lives in Taiwan and rides a MC and a large scooter, he videos his riding around and talks about different stuff. His videos are always entertaining and it's interesting to see what Taiwan streets look like, and that so many ride MC and scooters there. M13 has a cool helmet cam, I looked it up on the web after he mentioned in a video what exactly he has, the price wasn't bad at all really, and it worked well to produce good quality video with sound while he rode and talked. I wouldn't mind getting one of those to record video with while driving around! As a bonus, if you think about it, having such a cam would be great in case of an accident- you'd have video proof of what happened. This video of his shows a little of how he helmet mounted a cam, though he might have changed it to a newer one, but check this out, I seem to remember it was around $200 or less and can record for a good 2 hours. www.youtube.com/watch?v=judb-NEpm6Iyoutu.be/UHS6lFChyMUGoPro Hero HD is what I think he uses now, or the ContourROAM which runs about $178 on Amazon, and looks like an awesome cam; contour.com/products/contour-roam

Been looking for any wood carving. I did see a painted statue of a guy that looked like Juan Valdez from the coffee commercials, walking with a donkey. Weird thing for someone's yard. But, I think it was concrete or plaster. I do know a place that sells palm tree trunks carved into totem poles, but It's a good full hour ride away.
Anyway, still playing, still looking.

I have my eye on a statue of an indian or something out front of a cigar shop I need to get there to see if it's made out of wood.

If nobody can get this by Saturday, I'll be able to get a picture of my scoot next to an eagle carved out of a stump.

I would love to start playing again, but I no longer have a scooter... Would I break the rules if I played on an 800cc cruiser?

By toconnor10 at 2012-05-07 It's kind of hard to see, but it's an eagle carved into the tree. It was rainy and I was getting cold after an hour on the scooter by then. Next tag: Your scoot at the entrance to a cemetery

It was misting for the most part and 50*F outside, so as long as I was moving I was ok, but the stop lights were icky for sure. Just about 1 mile from home was when the real rain started coming down. I'll see if I can grab a picture as well, but I doubt I'll be able to get to it this week.

You can't just SAY the next tag is your scoot next to the entrance of a cemetery. You actually have to post a pic of YOUR scoot next to the entrance of a cemetery to call the next scoot tag.

I match the cemetery... And raise you a PlayHouse. This Playhouse was built around 1860, still in use today.

Ooh, I like that playhouse! Do they have plays/theatrical productions there?
So is the tag a playhouse, or a theatrical venue?
BTW, y'all look out... my scoot's going into the shop today, and when she comes out, I'm gonna jump back into the game and be a scooter tag playin' fool once again!

I'm sorry dawgs, I failed at the cemetery tag. Maybe I can find a playhouse near me and redeem myself by properly tagging this time.

@ >scootergrandma: Any place with a stage for musicals/plays. Just not a concert stage. And yes, there are still musicals and plays going on to this day. @ >TomO: No problem. I was going to ride to 2 different cemeteries to cover yours, but I was running out of time.

TomO (and anyone else)- Watch out for good tag spots as you ride. That way you can have some ready to go when you do get the current tag. Techie beat me to this one. Was going to get the cemetery that our Tampa Italian mob bosses are buried.

Yeah I do the same thing, always have my eyes out for things to tag whenever I'm out and about. My scoot's gonna cost an arm and a leg to fix but is still less than half the price of buying a new one so I am happy about that. She'll be home on the 1st, which I am very much looking forward to. Not a lot around here to tag because we're in the boonies, but there are a few unique things I have been able to find.

Engine is being rebuilt, master cylinder had to be replaced, battery died. Long story short, I had a valve adjustment done at a "professional" shop but a buncha clowns that didn't know what they were doing (neither did I at the time, but I'm not a scooter mechanic). Got less than 300 miles after the valve adjustment, engine seized up & died completely. I live in a mountain community of about 400 people founded in the mid 1800s. Old gold mining town, now wine country. There's a hardware store and a bunch of wineries but not much else.

Dang.. That sucks.. If you want something done right the first time, do it yourself.. Thats what my Grandma use to tell me. lol But on the other hand, I did blow one of mine up, because I missed a gasket.. Expensive mistake.

I weighed the pros and cons of getting her fixed. For about $1500, I could have replaced her with a brand spankin' new bike. For $650, I am getting back a bike I love in brand new condition. So ya know... it was well, what do I do, replace her or fix her? I figured if it had been more than $750 to fix her, I would have just got a new bike. But we are learning a lot about working on them ourselves (hubby has a Jonway--we are both scooter fanatics).

Don't you just love it when it s street sign is spelled incorrectly? I saw a sign in a state park once near the lake that said "Swim At On Risk". This was a carved wooden sign.

So I don't have any playhouse/theatrical venues near me, but I did get a picture in front of a movie theater and a new tag.
So my question: is the tag of a movie theater acceptable? If so, I will post it and the new tag (with picture this time) so the game can progress.
