I have the HID connected to turn on only with the High-beam on. I replaced the left halogen bulb and connector with an 18w H4 bulb, but now the HID's won't turn off when I switch to the low beam. Could it be because of the lower wattage bulb that I added?

I checked the connectors and wiring today, I even took some off and reconnected them, but had no luck. I think it has something to do with the fact that one connector is being used to power the HID relay and the other one powers the light.
I disconnected the low beams all together, so now I only have a High-beam (lowered completely to not blind on-coming traffic) and an HID (also lowered completely).

It's an aftermarket HID Kit that I purchased locally at a motorsport store.

My SN was supposed to be RIDD*ICK without the star between the D and the I, but there's a sensor that doesn't let me spell it out, which turned DI*K to thingy. I changed it to Ridd-ick but I guess some people still see ridthingy. P.S. Ridd-ick is a Super Hero.

GY6rocket, what is the multi-meter for? So I just need to cut the headlight wires going to the regulator, and connect them to a black wire from the ignition? To make sure you are not running DC in the first place I would think. As was said above...some scoots headlights are DC and some are AC.

So - how are you going to deal with the extra heat melting the plastics? (That's the one hurdle that's kept me from trying this yet!)

Really? I thought there was another thread that showed after even minimal use the housing would start to melt?
