I think I would have to stick with Triton. I like that word, and the whole way that I came across this scooter was, I was looking at prices for a Korg Triton piano keyboard on craigslist. So after Korg turned up no matches, I typed in Triton. This baby popped up in the results. So she's still called Triton.

Today I ran out of gas while doing errands. I've got ~500 km on her so far. I love my scooter but it hadn't dawned on me to name her until I ran out of gas and we bonded on the side of the road as I pushed her to the gas station. I have named her Sasha! Don't ask me why, I don't have a real reason for it, but it had better be a girl because after I filled her up with gas she didn't want to start again: I had to stick my finger up under the bodywork and diddle the fuel lines and fuel filter to get out air bubbles and then it finally started again. So, yeah, Sasha is her name.

I don't have a name for mine yet, the blue 1, since I've been dealing with some sort of gas vapor issue or something. Once I get some faith in the scoot, then we'll talk. My wife's scoot is named MOOTER . And our gang name, which is just me and the wife atm, is The MooCow Scooter Gang LOL

My first scooter that I had for 30 days, I named "Beauregard" after the hound dog on Hee Haw, because it rode mostly in the back of my truck, to the shop. I took it back cuz dat hound dog dint hunt. My second scoot, I named "Roswell" because when you looked at it dead on in the front it looked like an alien. My current scoot, a SYM RV250, I'm having a difficult time coming up with a name. I thought about "Francis" cause it's such a reliable mule, but I've seen that name on here already. I thought about "Buddy", but that's my dog's name and it might confuse him. Plus it's a brand name and it might confuse the scooter. A friend suggested "Zazoo", after the alien in the Flinstones, but I just don't see it . Thought about "Sam", "Sam the SYM"...but I dunno.... Maybe I'll just call it "Carl" cuz I'm tired of trying to come up with a name.....

So I think I will name my SYM the "Rainmaker"...

My stream-of-consciousness:
I just named my Znen ZN150T-7C "Salvador" or "Sal" because -
My dealer pronounced the scooter "zen" which got me to thinking about the book "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance." Which got me to thinking about philosophy and Zen Buddhism. Then that got me onto the Dalai Lama. I am an artist and wouldn't you know it, one of my favorite artists is Salvador Dali.
Corny, I know.

I started this thread in July of 08 - I never dreamed that almost 2300 people would share the name of their scooter. I've really enjoyed each one.
