Got it running now the gas tank is leaking from around the weld where the gas tank float is also the float don't work so good. How long a break in do i have to do on a 70cc install. I premixed the gas 32:1 and i road it for a couple of miles no faster than 30 then once around 40. I''m trying to get a read on the spark plug for mixture.

There are differeing opinions on break in. I mix the first tank rich as you have, otherwise I drive it like a rental. ;D

I also am pre mixing my fuel I don't trust the auto mixer after upgradeing to a 70cc, after cylinder install you shouldrun your first tank at 25/1 ratio for cylinder break in, after that 40/1 ratio. I really can't understand installing just a cylinder upgrade and not a pipe as well, usually most get the pipe first and upjet some, then add a cylinder kit and upjet more, if you have a pipe and cylinder kit installed you have to upjet or you will blow your motor up, is really very easy to do ,I have my scooter spot on now in the beginning I was lucky to hit 32 mph on the flat with my big self on it now I get to 55mph with smooth power , the trick will be dialing your particular scooter in, I talked with alot of people from the UK who had my particular scooter a Piaggio typhoon 50 , and leared from them and yes I had trail and failure, especially getting the right jet size for my set up, my advice would be don't buy just a cylinder kit, start with a performance pipe, upjet 6 sizes or so,put lighter roller weights in,put a malossi air filter replacment in and just that alone will give you 10 mph more.

I really can't understand installing just a cylinder upgrade and not a pipe as well Money would be one thought. May not be able to afford both all at once. I actually like the torque the added displacement makes. Another reason I could think of would be that it is more "stealthy". With just the 70 kit and some trasmission work, you couldn't tell anything was different about my scooter unless I was taking off faster than normal or driving too fast. It would be a real nice upgrade for someone looking to avoid issues with the local PD but still see a good gain. if you have a pipe and cylinder kit installed you have to upjet or you will blow your motor up That is far from the truth in some cases. My scooter has the stock jetting with a 70 and tuned pipe and it runs fat. Upjetting would only be necessary if I were to get an aftermarket air filter. Here's my plug, does that look too lean? I think the improtant part is too check your plug, even if the scoot shows no sign of problem after a cylinder install. You may be rich, you may be lean.

No your plug looks a tad too rich if anything, my particular scoot has a 17.5 mm carb standard, and a 56 mm main jet standard, I had to upjet to a 62 mm main jet after installing a performance pipe and reduce the roller weight, I of course pulled my plug regularly to inspect, I then installed a 70cc Malossi iron cylinder kit upjetting several times till I dialed it with a 72 main jet, pulled a restrictor plate out of the air intake side of my carb, at the same time I installed a malossi air filter sponge replacement designed to run with a stock to a perfomance set up.I as well have and want a stealth set up, so I am not really interested in going any faster than I can already,my last step will be maybe a performance variator, if in fact you can add a 70cc cylinder kit without the rest , it just seems it would be like smothering the real power , or restricting the real power , I guess when I sit and think about it if your containing the real power meaning not allowing the proper exhaust to expell or the proper air intake it would run richer, hmmm never thought of that. Here's a link to a video I made durring my project www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITmGfv7xfKg

Yours runs pretty similar to mine form the looks of the vid and your speed. I'm also a hoss at 285lbs. It annoys me when I let my smaller (Midd 100 pound) friends try it and watch how fast they take off. But, it's not possible for me to weigh 150 pounds... or at least not without health problems. I'm still very happy with that type of performance for what it is. 49cc scoots taht run like these should be illegal... oh wait, they are lol.

Thats a pretty cool looking scooter you have there you know I have no idea how my scooter would do with a lighter person on it, I say I am 245, but I am really in denial haha because thats what I weighed the last time I got on the scales ,truth is I am probably 260+ ,When I started my project I had several reasons to beef my scooter up, not to speed down the road and get attention, but I was upset at people riding my tail at a dangerous distance,or trying to run me off the road, plus I take my wife on the back on the weekends sometimes, so my goal was to make the scooter strong enough to just maintain speed with the both of us on it, I did just that ,can climb a hill with her behind me keeping 40mph or better, but other than my video's I don't blast around at 55, no way,,, I use the speed and power when I have too. To me it's safer to at least be able to keep up with traffic, as far as not legal, SHHHHH , whats under the plastic is suppose to be TOP SECRETE

I started out saying, "I just need to be faster so it's easier to deal with traffic in town and go up hills." I was good for a little while. I would drive it WOT on back roads, but on the main road between me and the town I like to cruise I would only drive it 40mph (on the shoulder of a 50mph road where I am supposed to do a max of 30mph for 12 miles). Now I just go WOT for 12 miles there and back... at times going faster than the actual lane of traffic..
