Hi The continuing sga of getting this 125 going properly. After just dying late last year and my investigaion showing nothing other than a probable fuel issue, i replaced the carburator this week. Lo and behold the scoot started right up. The issue I'm having now is that although it sits there and idles great, when I get on and give it some gas it wants to bog down and stall. I'm assuming there's some adjustment I need to make to the fuel/air mixture, but not really sure. And if so, not sure how to address the issue. I did find this blub on the net that gives a fairly good explanation of how to deal with the carb adjustment, but the screw they depict is not there on my crab. There is another close by I'm assuming is the correct one. x1scooters.com/scooterpdi.htmlAny guidance would be appreciated.

You have a different carb, that's why it looks different. On the Lifan, you'll see a little brass screw under the bowl with a blue mark on it. Is this an American Lifan (bought from a dealer) or a clone (bought from a drop shipper)?

HI Actually it was purchased used last year so I'm not sure of it's parentage. It actually has the brand name of Chua on it so I will assume from a drop shipper. I see a small brass flush screw on the carb on the side face, near the choke. I was thinking that wat the adjustment since i see no others. I can always take a photo of it tonight tho. Thanks for the response...

If it's a Chua, it's not a real Lifan, but the clone. Yes, take a pic of it, but make sure it's wide enough to see the rest of the carb relation. Usually, there are only two of these screws, one at the very bottom of the carb, the fuel drain, and one near the bowl, air/fuel mixture.

The low-speed mixture adjustment is covered here;
ScootDawg Scooter Forum :: The Library :: Tips and Tricks :: The lean misfire and hesitation
This primarily effects the idle and just off idle, so it may not help much in the area where you are having problems.

Yup, that's the one, now go and read the lean misfire and hesitation to see how to adjust it.
