i got the Nitro 150 a few weeks ago as well, so far its been ok. there are a few shortcomings in the build quality when compared to my more expensive scoot but for $1600 (i got mine for $1000) its not too bad.
the price, dealer network, and backing by Tomos and SYM make these a scorching bargain.

Hi all, i was doing some research on the Tomo Velo and went on google to look for information. This thread was back in 08 and i wanted to confirm before buying one of these scooters from Tomos that this product is indeed not a China product made from Znen or any chinese manufacturer. I read the whole thread and i guess some of you scoot dawgs said it was from SYM? Is that true? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The Tomos Velo is made in china in Sym's chinese factory. I have one and the quality is still Chinese. It is a decent scoot but if you can find a Znen cheaper I would go with that.
