Jonway/Jmstar scooters make quite a few of the 250cc scooters anyway. I have had my YY-250T ( MC-54 ) for 2 years so far and it runs excellent. Mine has the 172MM engine and the 13 inch tires. Hope that helps, Joe

i have a roketa mc54 250B, and it has a lot of parts made by jonway. I would keep it. It is probably just good as a roketa bali, maybe better.

Hey Biker Bill, I got the same bike a month ago from Scootertronics and love it. I got 800 miles on it and it has been 100% trouble free.
Enjoy, Mark C.

JMStar/Jonway is praised as one of the better builders out there. My Viva is a JMStar/Jonway build, Riches Roketa is a JMStar/Jonway build as I recall. There are lots of them out there.

I agree with everybody else...keep it. My Viva is a Jonway/JMstar also and so far it's been sweeter than my Grandma's apple pie.

Bikerbill, Mid grade gas I have seen is 89 octane, so you need premium. To save a few cents, you could mix mid grade and premium.

My JMStar 250 has over 880 miles on it now, I've been running 87 octane fuel since 400 miles, no performance difference, starts every time, runs like a champ.

I changed coolant and put in prestone 50/50 antifreeze changed the oil and put in 15w40 also changed the gear oil and put in 75w90 Took it for a short spin and i noticed the bike to be a lot more quiet and it seems to have a little more power I do have one ? At 60 or 65 the front shimmies a wee bit all is tight any opions, could the wheel it self be out of line or the tire not balanced correctly any help will be appreciated Oh and the crap that came out YUCK thanks ,Bikerbillss

Front shimmies at 60-65 mph? most likely poorly balanced (or badly seated) front tire, loose fork crown, loose steering bearing, warped front rotor, flat spot on wheel.. could be any one of the above or combination of many. Engine will likely fully break in after 500 miles.. I wouldn't sustain 60-65 mph for more than 20 seconds before that.
