you'd think MRP would have a set aside a small section for all us Malaguti owners they left high and dry.
while engine parts arent hard to come by, body panels and such have to be gotten from across the pond.

Very nice scoot. Looks especially good for being 7 years old. I dig that little piece behind the seat that follows the same contour, as opposed to dropping off then having a luggage rack or wing like most of the one's I've seen.
Are those Kenda tires? I popped a few of those within a month or two, kept getting stuff in them and puncturing them. I thought it was just a fluke with the first couple, then after the third I switched to Michelin Boppers. Same riding habits, haven't popped another yet. The stock tire I had before the Kendas even lasted 3000 miles, 3 Kendas lasted less than 1000 miles combined. Just a heads up, hopefully you won't have any trouble though.

the tires are Maxxis, i will be ordering up a set of Boppers next week though.
the Malaguti Phantom (imo) is still one of the best looking sport scoots out there, i was holding my breath waiting for the Phantom 200 when the Martins gave up and pulled out of the scoot import biz. its a shame because they had some really nice stuff. im still kicking around the idea of getting a used Yesterday for the wife.
this scoot in particular has been a bit of a mystery as to its origin- the Phantom Foggy/Ducati models were liquid cooled with digital instruments, yet this one is air cooled with anolog guages and a 2 tone seat. joel martin says that the 1st run was in this configuration and he didnt know how many were made before the switch. as it is # 301...i have to assume there were at least 300 others but cant confirm anything. every other one ive seen has been the LC/digi w/mono black seat.
maybe i should start taking notes on the #s for every one i come across!
i keep saying im going to sell it or trade it in but its just hard to part with it. at 50cc with only a pipe and malossi reed cage setup its a solid performer- crisp handling and speeds up to 53mph on flats. i take it up on the blue ridge parkway and have an absolute blast in the twisties with it, a tail of the dragon run needs to be in my future.

How loud is that muffler? I've got an MRP and it is god-awful loud. It isn't a whole lot quieter than running without the muffler. I gotta pick up a replacement, same bolt pattern as yours, or so it appears.

What MRP is doing is better than setting aside a page for Malaguti riders or owners, they asked scootertronics to handle all sales for Malaguti parts, we will take any order for any part. The only thing is you must know what you want, as in right side rear panel for Yesterday in Blue. I will have a page set up for this soon and have been selling Malagti parts sine March 2007, just too many to list and I really do not have all the pics. Another major brand that sold about 5000 units in US will also be added to scootertronics so when they finally close up shop there will be a place for parts in the US. More oin thisin the future can not spoil anything right now, but if anyone wants to get a major brand at a a really good price I could hook you up.

i hate what MRP has done with their website, now if youre not a dealer you cant even view their products.
ive developed a pretty good relationship with Taffspeed over the years, since the Phantom is still in production over there theyve had every part ive ever needed in stock everytime ive called.

looks like Malaguti owners still need a good outlet for parts, im having to drive 6 hrs to obtain a couple simple parts for another 'Guti im fixing... as scootertronics cant seem to pick up a phone or answer an email so an order can even be placed.

I see Kona graphics... And Salsa ones as well. Are you a fellow mountain biker? By the way, I've always liked Salsa & Kona bikes.
