I work on Sundays too... So I will not make it either.
I think I would be a little nervous about being around too many other scooters... I do not think I can hold my own, keep my lane position, and not mess everyone up.
Maybe one day on a Saturday when I have more experience.

Hi guys and gals. I finally got my Lance Venice home today. I had never driven a scooter before, so driving it home cold turkey was very exciting. Overall I am very happy with it. I bought it from Zen Auto in Sacramento, very nice guy who owns it. I will take pictures soon and post it here. My neighbor who owns a Vespa came over and looked at my Lance and she really liked it too.

glad to see you joined the scootin world dhryder. Most of us can't do the freeways either. However, there's plenty of roads down here in So Cal. The only 2 choke points are Camp Pendleton on the N/S 5 and Anaheim Hills on the E/W 91. Pretty much everywhere else is easy to work around. Since it looks like you and espirit2too haven't been on the site much, let me share a few helpful hints with you to make your experience here as great as it has been for most of us. 1) Most everyone on this forum is AMAZINGLY helpful and willing to answer just about any question. Please don't ever feel your question is a bad question. If it's worthwhile for you to know, feel free to ask. 2) Many of the questions you likely have about scooters have been asked (although you're always welcome to ask again ). Here's a link on how to get the best results out of your searches. Searching the Dawgpound3) There are a lot of terms used on scootdawg. Here's a helpful dictionary. Dawgctionary4) If you're looking at threads, there are frequently more pages. You'll see at the top or bottom left a link to the next or following pages. 5) If you haven't taken an MSF Rider course yet, you may consider taking one. They are relatively inexpensive and teach you a lot about safe riding. www.msf-usa.org6) Have a blast and again, welcome to the dawgpound. Safe Riding!

Free parking, one thing nice about Sactown is there are free parking spots for scoots and motorcycles. Need to get in early, and I start work at 7:00 am so I think I can get good parking spots. These are also convenient, about a block from my office. I wonder how the other members parking situation is.

rbastrire,
Welcome to the board.
You make the third Tulare County member we have in the forum. Pressman has a dealership in Tulare and I live in Porterville, we should all sit down and have a cup of coffee some day.

OK, California scooterist.
It is time to start making clubs for riding and having fun. We have a Scootdawg club committee that has put together some by-laws, so that part is done, coming will be things like tee shirts and logos, we are getting ready to have a national Scootdawg club. So we need some clubs to get rolling.

What can I do to help out with the Inland Empire area of Southern Ca? Thanks for asking, 1) Have you got a local shop that you like and might be interested in being a "sponsor", allow you to hold meetings? If you do and would like to ask them if they would be willing to sponsor the club. If you do not have a shop that will let you meet in it, restaurants often have meeting rooms for this kind of thing, they do want you to order foord though. 2) Do you have riding buddies? If you do that group can be the kernel to build on, hold a meeting and form the club, PM me with your emaill address and I'll email the by-laws to you. 3) You can make fliers to post, or cards to put on scooters you see parked around to recruit members. Do this after you have a meeting place, you might even meet in a home.

We need a club in the Hanford-Lemoore area or the Visalia-Tulare area. Anyone know if there are clubs here already?
