so this week the pipe leading to my exhaust snapped at the weld. I discovered some loose bolts that allowed for too much vibration in the wrong place. Now I need a new pipe! anyone know what something like this would cost? Jim in looking at you here, and I sent an email to your shop today. Attachments:

Things like that usually happen because the muffler were it attaches to the SWINGARM that the motor is attached to was not aligned right to bolt the muffer. There was pressure on the muffler to align it to the mount and that puts stress on the parts in front of it and with vibration it has to give someplace. When mounting a new exhaust the muffler should not be forced to align it to where it bolts to.
But anyway If it coust to much which most likely will be over $100.00 dollars I would take it to a welder and they will do a much better job of welding than it came with. The best way to do it is to actually take the TRIKE there and they will align it so there is no pressure when mounting the muffler(and if need be they can slot where the muffler mounts to or slot the mounitng bracket on the muffler itself.
I know from experience I already went through this and this also applies to any scoot or atv or whatnot, not just trikes. Lefty

That is great, but heed the warning about putting it on no pressure to align it otherwise it will happen again. Lefty
