my tao tao 50cc scooter wont start even with starting fluid i have bought new carburetor, new spark plug, new fuel lines, new fuel filter, new petcock, orange ignition coil, orange cdi but still wont start. valves are both .004, i put the spark plug on the valve cover has a bright blue spark, put my finger on the spark plug hole and it blew my finger away

Did you adjust the new carb, try this turn the Fuel Ratio Screw clockwise until it stops then turn it out 2 1/2 turns and see if it wants to start. Also what Kind of Air Filter is on there is it a AIR FILTER BOX or did you put on some after market free flow Aif Filter.
When was the last time it was running and what happened when it stopped running. Little background would help, did you get caught in the rain was it dropped etc.. Lefty

yea the new carb a/f screw is at 2 1/2 turns out
cone air filter i tried the original air box but still wont start
it was running fine a week ago
i took it for a ride than it started to bog like its not getting enough fuel than it died and wouldnt start anymore
i sprayed starting fluid in the air intake of the carb but still wont start few hours later i poured a bit of fuel in the vacuum hose still wont start
2010 tao tao over 6000 miles

CDI or wiring or a hose is disconnected/broken somewhere, methinks.

go back over everything make sure its all snug and tight doesnt hurt to double check

I second that, in my case it was the CDI. Also, side stand down can be a factor - did that too ;D

Oh ok, well if you've already swapped CDIs back and forth it may be wiring. It COULD be that your second CDI is also bad but chance-wise, it's less likely than something going on with electrical or intake.
