Ok so I've been thinking about making some body mods on my Jonway sunny style.. Thinking of getting rid of the plastic on the handlebars, including the headlight.. Thinking about installing some kind of motorcycle or Ruckus style headlight.. And wanting to put some different bars on it.. My question is where can I find an adapter for the handlebars, I know alot of these chinese scooters have the stem attached to the handlebars, and it bolts to the triple tree.. Would I have to make or weld the one that's on the factory bars, or do they make one?? Help would be GREATLY appreciated as always!

I am going to be doing the same. I plan on using a ruckus handlebar clamp:

hey whats up. I have a scooter called a transit, and it has a ruckus similar frame with different ferrings. It has the ruckus style headlights though. One thing i will say is dont underestimate the aero dynamics of the origonal ferrings and headlight setup. I often feel like my big square headlights that hang on the front are slowing me down. just like u can often squeeze out a few extra mph by ducking, bulky lights can take away a few mph. Good luck tho im all for the mods, just wanted to drop my 2 cents on ruckus style headlights>

I use the Ruckus clamp on mine, only thing I had to do cosmetically was drill a hole for the stem bolt since my bike has the left to right design and I needed the front to back design for it to work. Once it's on then a whole new world of handlebar options opens.

so your hole was side to side on the bike, and the adapter was front to back??

correct, its simple to drill it out though. Just slide the knuckle on and make sure its perfectly centered and drill through while its on but use a small bit and then keep swapping to bigger drill bits until you can get a bolt through.

it'll probably be a few months b4 I get ready to start mounting everything, I still have to get different controls, new guage, and bars, and stem.. But I'm planning on going flat black with the whole bike, except for some Chrome accents, and probably bars.. Gonna eventually switch to some different wheels, like 5 spoke or something.. I found some that will fit on racingplanet.. It will be a fun project once I start though.. thanks for all the help inkyben, and everyone else who has replied on here..

Especially with those 'West Coast' style mirrors. Nice stuff, man! I would have never thunk' it... PS: Marlboro Lights in one picture and Michelob Ultra in another... MY MAN! New best friends
