We have this one shop in town (and I'm not naming any names) that does that same exact thing. And another shop (again, pointing no fingers) which the owner/operator/main mechanic is an 'alleged' Russian Mafia member. Apparently/allegedly he runs a scooter theft ring in which allot of people that work for him go around town stealing scooters and they either part them out or take them to another state (we're 40 miles from the state line, give or take a few) and that's really messed up. The cops actually raided a house on the beach OWNED by him in which they found no furniture or living equipment, but did find roughly 14 stolen scooters just sitting around in there. Well... Seeing as he was RENTING the place out, he was never charged with anything because, "he just rents the place out and doesn't know anything about it"...
Suuure buddy...
rbrooks1 neither condones nor endorses any of these activities nor accepts any repercussions/retaliation from this statement. He will run and hide!
Gotta stay safe from that Mafia, you know... HAH!

carasdad: Yea, haha. That's when you tell them, "Hey you know what? I just might know what the problem is. Let me take it in the back and tinker with it for a minute. (6 minutes later) All right! Here you go, take 'er for a spin, see how she rides now! (5 minutes later when the customer gets back all happy and whatnot) "Okay, that will be 50$ please". ...Totally kidding, but seriously... Joking of course, but you know what I mean... Yea... Hey we have a shop in town....owned by wealthy man that owns about 1/4 of this resort beach front town. He does crap like that all the time at his shop...burned out bulb...blown fuse etc....he has them come back in hour or so and tells them it was a wiring issue and charges $75 an hour. I worked for him one day....then quit when I saw some of the crap they pulled on folks...I refused to do it...and opened my own repair/parts shop.People that buy scooters from him...come to us as many have caught on to his scam. Most of the town folks do not like him over his greed..not just with his shop...but the other businesses he owns. I despise dirt bags like that... Good on you carasdad!

Most police in my town are just out looking to write tickets for anything...cars even get one for 32 in a 30... However our 2 State Troopers that cruise our town on occasion are very respectable and polite. One pulled behind me as I turned into the gas station. He told me he clocked me at 44 in a 45 and by law scooters can only go 30..then told to be careful as others will ticket and impound the scoot. At which point he asked how I got it to go that fast because his 16 yo son rides one to to school and it only goes 30. part of his ride is on a country road where the traffic is 55..and he would rather see folks not go 30 and have a car approach from behind over a hill etc...at 55 and be right on top of them. So I told him where I lived...and I hopped his sons scoot up.

Yes its easy to get more out of any scooter and a 2T you will get more results especially with a tuned and unrestricted pipe

Yes I do have a shop...small right now...but we just started out after seeing a need for one in our area....as the closest it 34 miles away...and the guy is real scam artist. Really rips the folks off in all the small local towns around here.

Cool I am stuck on QTs frozen Cappuccino and chocolate doughnut with cream filling mmmm . Is there an Amtrak depot nearby ? My 2T has 13s instead of widdle 10s and plenty of high speed tires just have to decide between 3 of em and will have them high speed balanced . It weighs only 186 lbs where my TaoTao ATM50 weighed 249 lbs .
If your really brave come down here and we race on our " Redneck Autobahn " with its giant hills , one is 1.1 miles crest to crest or over Paris Mountain its in my backyard and a great view at the top

Win or lose that would still be fun. Don't know about Amtrak, but in preparing for my trip to PI several people at work suggested i take the train from Lafayette to Chicago.. So I'm assuming it's an Amtrak..
I do wish Fawkes engine was a long case, I have a bigger front tire, but that short case will not really allow for any bigger rear tire than I already have on it... But I sure wish it did..
