Just bought a CY50-t3 few weeks ago and finally hit 300km on the odometer, but i find my scooter too be a little slow as traffic in my town goes at 45 - 50mph. I think i have "secret 63" as found a stamp near the stand "1P39QMB". my top speed is 34mph (gps verified), and find that slow for a 63cc, i have checked the variator for restriction and no restrictions were found. what can i do to make it go around 45mph ? i dont want to spend loads of money for a bbk.
thanks

Does it have the 6B stamp near the rear shock? Changing the variator rollers will help a lot with speed. You'll have to do some experimenting there, and once you find an optimal weight, go 1 gram lighter with sliders.

I have tried many times to find that stamp but i cant find any ... i checked near the rear left shock on-top of the airbox. and will the weights help to improve top speed or acceleration ? and will getting a performance carb and bigger jet help at all in top speed ? also if i get a bigger main jet, will i have change my stock exhaust ? my scooter manufacturing date is 6/2012. how can i find the 6b stamp ?

I had trouble finding the 6B stamp too. I actually found it when I was looking for something else. I think I found it looking from the right side(throttle side). I worked on your same model for a friend, and it had the 63, and going from the stock 7.5g rollers to 5g sliders made a huge difference in acceleration and top end. You won't have to do anything with the exhaust if you install a bigger main jet because these scooters are set up lean to begin with.

I checked once again, and found NO 6B , but i do have a 1P39QMB. So i am a bit spectacle, also i am planing to go and change my roller weights out, i am about 190 pounds so what weight slider/roller should i get and from where is the cheapest ? I am also wondering to change out my carb to put a larger jet and performance air filter, will this effect my top end speed (positively)?

You should probably weigh the stock rollers before you order new ones. That way you'll have an idea where to start. I was incorrect about the stock weights in the one I worked on. Those were 8.5g, not 7.5g. You can take them to the Post office and they can weigh them for you. I ordered 4g and 6g rollers for testing, and found the 4g gram roller to be optimal. I then ordered 5g sliders(1g higher than the roller weight you decide is best), as this is the convention, and works out pretty well. This mod will give you the most bang for your buck. I don't believe that increasing the main jet size will do much for you, other than not running quite as lean. Greg at Mainley Scooters has good pricing and great service. His ad runs at the top of the page.

Ok, tonight i will probably put some "weights" on order! so you are saying 4 gram rollers are the same as 5 gram slider in performance? i know that slider get less wear and tear but just wondering about performance ? and if you dont mind me asking, did you do any other mods to your cy50-t3 besides roller weights ?

The rule of thumb is to use sliders that are 1g heavier than the roller weight you finally decide on. It does work. I didn't do any other mods to the Tao Tao other than changing the spark plug to an NGK and putting in Royal Purple engine and gear oils after break-in. I did increase the main jet size on a Puma Angel I worked on, and didn't notice any increased speed, just better throttle response.

Yes, the 50cc uses the 16x13 weights. That looks like a pretty good deal for that set. I'm not sure about the two pin connector. Possibly from the enrichener? The enrichener is on the left side Olof the carb. Is there a two pin connector hooked up there? What color are the wires from the cable. The enrichener wires are green and yellow.
