He everyone. I'm the new kid here and i got me a used 2006 longbo scooter 150cc. It has a few problems it was very neglected but i'm workng on bringing here back to life. She runs great. Here are the problems. No odometer cable, Stator is bad and it sputters at times, i got the sputtering part fixed (Air filter hose was off. I'm going to replace the odometer cable next week. Here is my problem. the scooter shop wants to charge me $120 for a new stator and 60 bucks to install. i found it online for as low as $30. I'm in the process of removing the stator but i'm having trouble. I got the the 4 bolts rmoved from the front and the one big bolt in the middle too. i see no ther bolt holding the stator in place but it won't budge. I tryed pulling, tapping it with a hammer to loosen it up but nothing. any ideas?

HOLY COW! this thing is on tight. I got no bolts holding it on but it won't budge. I guess i'll try the flywheel puller. Is the stator on whole piece, i mean will it come out as one or is there a cover, then the assembly.

you will need the flywheel puller and probably and impact wrench

The stator is bolted onto the crankcase under the rotating flywheel, which is attached to the crankshaft. The flywheel is bolted onto a tapered section on the crankshaft, a woodruff key is in there to prevent it from getting out of alignment for ignition timing purposes. The nut tightens it onto the tapered part and that usually makes it pretty tight.
