Hey, I'm new to this board, but I love the traffic this site gets. Most other forums are slower.
Somebody backed into my scooter, a 2007 Kymco Vitality 50 4T, and knocked it over. Cracked plenty of plastics and blew my headlight. Rather than getting another dim light, I was wanting to get an LED headlight, along with the rest of the lights being converted to LED as money comes in.
How would I go about doing this? Any special modding? Whats the best course of action. Thanks.

LED tail light is just screw in like a bulb , most use an 1157 type . LED blinkers would need a new relay . No LED headlights yet but there is HID lights if your stator can power them

I tried the led brake lamp. It wasn't nearly as bright as the standard lamp especially in daylight. I felt it was a safety issue and decided not to use it.

I feel the same way about LED bulb replacements. Some lamps with certain style bulbs they work great, some don't work so good at all (in daylight). I was very displeased with how they did in my 50cc, so in the 150cc I just went nuts with auxiliary LED lighting. My 50cc did not need a new signal flasher to run LEDs.

That's a good idea. If the main bulb blows you still at least have some light. I might look into doing that.

I can't find the amount of power generated by my scooter online, is there any way I can look on the scooter itself? OR does anyone know? Along with current electrical strain?

Personally, I'd stick with stock. If you draw too much power, you can kill your battery. There are HID kits, but I have never tried them on any of my customer's scooters. I know www.partsforscooters.com used to sell them and probably still do. If you try it, let me know how they work out. Just make sure you check the charging level of your battery before and after the mod.

I don't know what it was before bulb burned out.

Hello, First I hope you weren't on the bike when someone backed into it. Second, depending on the type of HOUSING for your headlight you may be able to upgrade to a 45watt bulb. -- On my roketa mc-74-150 I have what is called a cyclopse ? housing, It's a fairly decent sized opening so the heat from the bulb hasn't been an issue..... If you have a smaller housing for the bulb then you wouldn't want anything too hot. An auxillery light may be a possibility for you. A simple switch, two wires, an inline fuse and the light. You could use it as you feel the need.-- wouldn't run it non stop as it may run down the battery, It's a matter af various factors to take into consideration. I pulled up some photos of the make and model you have stated of your bike. The photo seems to have TWO marker lights (one on each side of the headlight). Those can be replaced with amber LED's from superbrightleds.com for abought $18 each - the main light housing in the photo is hard to get a good idea of the space inside the housing.... you have to research and experiment, but if you get to hot a buld for the thing i have heard the lense can melt ! Hope some of this helps.

I wasn't at home when it happened, but someone said they heard a noise, went to look after getting out of the pool, and miraculously the person had stood the scooter up and left before they got there.
