I'm confused why my brake isn't working. All I did was unbolt the rear wheel, slide it off, and slide on a new IDENTICAL wheel (got the new one off a scoot of the exact same model I have)
Now when I pull my rear brake nothing happens. Did I miss a step here or what? Any ideas how I fix this?

Measure the brake drum on both wheels and see if they have the same diameter. Then write back with info.

You may have to tighten up the brake line. Do you feel resistance when you pull the handle? Or does it feel like *nothing*? My bet is that the drum on the new rim is just a bit wider than the old one. Either that or the brake shoe somehow got knocked out of whack and is binding.

Tightened the brake line where it meets at the drum and all is well. Seems like such a dumb question now but I was really expecting it to just bolt right on since both parts are exactly identical. Anywho thanks folks

Next time think "compatible" and not "identical". Makes a world of difference.
Glad it was a simple fix and you didn't have to take it all apart again!
