I had a 50cc scooter for the past year and a half or so and it started spraying oil from the motor so I sold it to a friend who had a wrecked 50 and a good motor. I bought this 2008 Jonway 150cc. It's a one owner scooter and always been garaged kept with less than 1k miles, I paid $750 for it and it looks brand new. On my way home after buying it the headlights stopped working, but the switch still seemed to work, the bright lights light on the dash came on and off. I pulled the front cover off and the wire had wrapped up in the fork and pulled the plug apart. Ok, no problem, plugged it back in and now the bright lights light won't come on on the dash and the two bigger bulbs won't come on, only the two small bulbs right above the bigger bulbs (image included), these don't shine very bright, are they even headlights? The bulbs in the bigger lights don't seem to be blown so I have no clue what the problem is. The taillight works fine with the exception of the brake light, so any clue as to why the brake light doesn't come on would be awesome too. Attachments:

Blinkers - no (I think the switch is bad it doesn't even catch)
Brake - no
Tail - Yes
Dash - Yes
Headlights - Started working, however when switched to bright the bright light on the dash comes on but headlights just go out with the exception of the small lights.
My battery was so low it wouldn't start it at all after I plugged the lights back in, the small lights and tail light worked but the headlights didn't come on until I jumped it off. So now my only problems is the brake light and the bright lights.
The turn signal problem is the switch I think. The emergency blinkers do still work though so I know the actual lights do blink and come on.
I am not very mechanically inclined, I joined this forum less than a year ago and everything I learned to do (change oil, gear oil, belts, weights, variator, and clutch) I learned from people here. So I pick things up well with instruction I just don't know where to begin lol.

Also my battery isn't charging when riding so that would be a rectifier problem? Could you post what one looks like and where it may be located?

The Regulator/Rectifier looks like this it has fins for cooling. Where it is at on your scoot you will have to look for it. They usually tie them up on the side Frame Rails. But you have to try and match it up to what you have and the number of connectors on it so it just plugs right up. Wile

yes everything you said to points to a bad rectifier, the dc system from the battery is working the ac part is malfunctioning and not charging, thats classic rectifer bad.
do not be surprised if the rectifier is up inside the dash and you have to take the front part of the scooter apart, good news. its only about 12 dollars.
easiest way to find it is to follow the wires, some one will tell you how t do that if you can not locate it pretty quickly tommorrow.

I think I seen it on the frame when I had the front part off to plug the lights back in. I will run it down, you guys know any good place to grab one?
