This past weekend, I cleaned my carburetor since i felt it was overdue for a cleaning. after cleaning it, letting it dry, and putting it back in, i get nothing when i try to crank it whether it be by electronic starter or kicking.
The scooter was running the day before i cleaned the carb so the carb is definitely the issue.
Ive already checked for spark and compression and both are present.
In addition to that, ive made sure the fuel lines are clean and fuel flows when there is vacuum present on the vacuum line.

if it helps, when i try to kick start since electric start makes too much noise, the kick lever does not have as much resistance as it did when the scooter ran fine. also, when kicking, theres no pressure at the exhaust and the cranking sound is....i guess the best way to describe it would be "air-y"
Double check that stupid stuff like key and kill switch are on. Check the fuel enricher is plugged in. Then double check the vacume line from intake manifold to petcock. Make sure the throttle cable didnt get hung up causing it to be open. Check for gas in the tank, This is all stuff that I have done.
Use the kick start about 10 times. Dont go crazy trying to turn the engine like a starter. Just give it 10 smooth kicks. Then try the electric starter.
Still not starting? Is the carb seated perfect in the intake manifold and airbox firmly attached? Have you adjusted the valves recently?

marklorenzi: I just bought one of the Fleetwoods. They look like a clone of the Honda XRM's they sell overseas. It is in transit now and I should get it this week. I will try to post my experience here. Call me the guinea pig hahaha.
