Just want to say thank you to those who answered all my questions so quickly. This was my first time doing the valve adjustment and it was easy after getting past all the plastics. My scooter fires up on the first try and has loads more power. Once I have it tagged I will try and see what the top speed is, so far I've only taken it up to 45 MPH. The valve adjustment did wonders. It's responsive and has more torque. My valves were both at 0.00" when I took the valve cover off. I have no idea how it was running before.
Not sure how to put a video on this thread, so here is a link to my video.
Yup.. a miracle! Check them again in 1500 miles...
I'm convinced that about 60% of the problems that people have with these scooters is related to tight valves.. the other 30% is because they store them with fuel in the tank over winter and the last 10% is failure of electrical components...
People that know squat think it is just Chinese scooters that need valve adjustment... well I can tell you the early Hondas were just as bad, perhaps worse...
It really was a night and day difference in starting it as well as compression. Really amazing. I may readjust today because the valves are tapping and are a bit annoying someone told me to try .003 and .004" to reduce tapping and another suggested letting it reset it self over a few hundred miles. One person called it "healthy tapping." Performance is great now though. Don't really want to mess with it.
02 Infinity QX4 has solid lifters. (Nissan- idiots!!!!!!) Valves are adjusted by replacing lifters, which are $25 a peace. 24 lifters (6 cyl). Multiply by $25 I hope now you feel good about your Chinese scooter!:)

marklorenzi: I just bought one of the Fleetwoods. They look like a clone of the Honda XRM's they sell overseas. It is in transit now and I should get it this week. I will try to post my experience here. Call me the guinea pig hahaha.
