I have always heard not to repair a motorcycle tire, replace it. I have repaired my scooter tires but my scooters only gos 30 mph with tube type tires so I just replace the tube. my motorcycle I replace not repair.

I bought a set of Pirelli tires for mine, and had small leak in the rear about 2000 miles after I put them on. I plugged it and have had no problems since!(almost 8000 miles since plug). I'm getting ready to buy another pair now due to wear, not the plug.
According to every tire manufaturer and the DOT you do not plug a Motorcycle or Scooter tire except to limp off the road to get the tire replaced. If someone took a chance and accidently had a plugged tire hold for a while is no guarantee that it will work out that way for you nor does it indicate that it is a good thing to do. Do not devaluate your life by plugging a Motorcycle or Scooter tire.

marklorenzi: I just bought one of the Fleetwoods. They look like a clone of the Honda XRM's they sell overseas. It is in transit now and I should get it this week. I will try to post my experience here. Call me the guinea pig hahaha.
