Hi all. I bought my Roketa last summer. It ran, but kind of rough. It was brand new. By the end of the summer it quit starting. I parked it, and decided to work on it today. After pulling off the necessary body panels to get to everything, I noticed that most of the vacuum lines weren't attached to anything. Now I need to know where they all go! So far today, I have searched the web with no success. Anyone that can help me out??

Well the important ones are the one from the INTAKE and to your Petcock( If the gas tank is Above the Carb or Fuel Pump if the Gas Tank is Below the Carb): It would help if you took pictures of the hoses and area around the carb and lines that are not connected AND WERE they are coming from: But here is a picture of some: Lefty

Right now I have the carb and valve cover off. One of the hose fittings that I'm not sure about is on the intake. Mine has two spots for vacuum hoses. ( according to the Haynes manual it is called the fuel tap vacuum hose) The intake vacuum hose shown in the above picture is on there and hooked up. The other is not hooked to anything, yet there are hoses that look to maybe go to it.
I'm not sure how to post pics on here yet. If I figure it out, I'll post pics of what I'm talking about.
The other thing is I think the EVAP cannister? THere is a big hose fitting anbd a small hose fitting at the bottom side. The big hose is there, but the small one is not.

Yep you have the emssion stuff on, you could just take all that stuff off they cause more problems than they solve. Air Leaks and what not. Also plug up the extra vacumm nipple on the other side of the Intake, that is sucking in air that will make you run Lean. The Vent hose from the Valve cover put a Fuel Filter on the end of it and tie it up high so if it squirts oil it will drain back into the valve cover. You don't want oil all over you engine and or Air Filter.
Any extra emission hoses going to your Filter box plug them up. Lefty

Sounds good man. I'm really not mechanically inclined when it comes to scooters. This is my first one. I bought a Haynes manual to help me out some. I'll do all that once my new valve cover gasket comes in.
Maybe in the meantime, I'll figure out how to post pics!

Yeah, guess it doesn't matter too much about the vacuum lines when I take off all the emissions stuff. But I will see if I have figured out how to post pics! Attachments:

Well you need a minimum of two vacuum lines. One goes to the petcock or fuel pump, the second goes to the de-accelerator on the right side of the carb...

Good thought Sprocket, he can use the other nipple to connect the Vacumm line from the de-accelerator and not have to worry about a "T" or a "Y' connector to split the vacumm needs. One Nipple from the Intake goes to the decelerator and the other Nipple on the Intake to the Petcock or Fuel Pump. Lefty

Ya, that is how I always run mine...fewer parts less problems...

Sounds good, but which one is the "de-accelerator"? My carb is the Constant Vacuum (CV) type. Does it have one of those? Also, What about the air-box? It has some pretty big hoses coming from it going to whatevers. Scrap em?
I was going to post a picture of what I was talking about. Forgot how! I thought it was on "Modify Post"?

The de-accelerator is on the right hand side of the carb, sort of behind where the throttle cable attaches..
You must be certain that there is hose on the valve cover. These sometimes connect to the air box, but you can just stick it into a catch can...

There is a picture above where the intake has two ports. Does anyone know where the port towards the top of the picture should lead to?
I have a fixer-upper and the hose from that port isn't connecting to anything. Its a 2006 Tank something. I have a 2006 Strada RX150 that I have been looking through as a guide but the intake on my Strada only has one port like the picture at the top of this page.

It really depends... but the right side port usually goes to a plastic 'T" or 'Y' connector and then off to other places.
To get it running.. put hoses on both nipples. Left hose should go to the center nipple on the petcock, which is on the bottom of the tank or in the fuel line.
The second hose from the right nipple on the elbow should go to the nipple on the right side of the carb, where the throttle cable is. This is the de-accelertor...
With these two, the scooter should run...

Thanks Sprocket...I checked to see if my hoses were connected correctly to the decelerator and petcock but couldn't find any petcock on my scooter. I took pictures of all of the hoses to show you and whoever else wanted to see: (Sorry, it is the right way in photobucket, I can't get this to rotate) 1. Hose hooked to bottom of gas tank 2. Hose hooked to top of gas tank 3. Fuel hose 4. T'd to #7 & #8 5. Hose hooked to overflow on bottom of carburetor (not going anywhere also) 6. Hose not hooked to anything either. Its only 3 or four inches long. 7. Goes to decelerator (if that is the one kind of by the throttle screw) 8. Goes to intake 9. Not hooked to anything even though the other end looks barely stretched like it was attached to something. (Help) Any ideas? Could it be another hose going to the air box even though the opening at the end of the hose doesn't look like it is stretched that big? BTW, I managed to get this Tank 150 running but it doesn't run super clean yet. The idle has to be at least at 2000 rpm's to remain running. I've cleaned the carburetor and jets. It has spark and compression. I'll try to readjust the carb again but was hoping that this hose on the intake might help it run better if hooked up properly.

Line 1 is your main fuel line...to petcock... the Line 3 goes to carb... OK Line 4 is the petcock vacuum line... OK Line 6 is correct it goes nowhere... OK Line 2 what does it go to.. usually that nipple on the petcock is blank ( NOT correct) Line 5 is the float drain it just hangs loose... (OK) Line 8 needs a zip tie at the intake nipple... there is enough leakage there to cause problems... (OK) Where is line 9 going to? It should be going to the petcock (4) actually. You still will have one open line extra (4) and it should be plugged.... Get rid of all of the spring clips and replace with 5" zip ties and pull them tight with pliers...
