Hey gang, as you know I was stuck in the 50cc-80cc class for awhile BUT I just decided to get a new RAD 10 150cc scoot! Now of course, I'm already brainstorming on upgrades for it, the most obvious is a no rev limit CDI and an Iridium plug but I'm not sure on weights as these are heavier than the typical 80cc setup. I want more top end so I can get out of traffic's way if need be. What do you suggest? Scooter

What do you want to do with an iridium plug and no rev CDI?
Neither will improve performance...save your money
Tune the CVT first

Well, all this without doing any air filter or valve mods? I also want to make sure that when I goose it, it goes and FAST LOL.

Sprocket, are you indexing also or just side-gapping?

Both, I like the plug to point to the exhaust valve (down on these GY6 engines), but I have never tested a scooter to know if that makes any difference...with the standard NGK plug compression washer it ends up that way by default ;-)
Most of my side gapping days come from the early Japanese 4 strokes...
I wonder what would happen if you side gapped an iridium plug...I would like to know but I'm too cheap to find out...!

I'm at high alt (6500ft) and according to plug readings, instead of lean I'm running perfect to a little rich. After 2000 miles of break in I've hit a verified 60mph on a stock bike. I purposely bought the lightest weight 150cc I could so I would have a higher top end.
