We are in the final stages of developing our 50cc Engine Swap Mounting Bracket for Chinese scooters. This bracket will allow you to swap out your 50cc for a 150cc or 180cc motor, with no welding or cutting. Simply bolt on.
The bracket will also add a 10" stretch, really trick looking.
I will also have a "Fatty" tire kit for the Chinese scooters, hey guys we can't the the Ruckus guys have all the fun.
We will be posting photo's of our conversion pretty soon.
Contact me if you are interested in this trick project.

Now that is something the 50 guys will go for. 50 to 150/180 mounting brackets. Alleyoop

Yeah, thanks Alleyoop, so far we have had a huge response, it is something we have been working on for a long time, and it is in the final stages.
Like I said we can't let the Ruckus guys have all the fun.

Very cool. ;D Any plans for a bracket that will let you keep a little shorter wheelbase? Unlike the Ruckus folks, I'd like to keep the wheelbase closer to stock and not use lawn mower tires out back so it will actually handle.

90GTVert you will be able to run a standard width tire on the mount, but you will also have the option of a different mount for the Fatty tire if that is what you want.

Yeah, I know. Just posting to let you know there's interest in a version that keeps the wheelbase a little shorter if you ever decide to do another version of the swap bracket. Either way, glad to see someone is finally making this. If all the 150cc swap inquiries I've seen online are a good indication, I hope you have plenty in stock when you put 'em up for sale! ;D

Very interesting indeed! What is an appox cost?
One other thing that might be interesting is registration, some States, Wisconsin is one, there is 2 types of registration, one being 50cc and below registered as a Moped, above 50cc it is registered as a M/C. Coppers may question a scooter with Moped plates doing 55MPH LOL!
I for one have the need for speed!

That's another reason I was asking about a shorter version. That 10" swingarm will make your scoot "stick out" even more. Of course the real answer is that you should know your local laws. Do the swap at your own risk, and be prepared to face the consequences if you get caught. It would just be easier not to get caught with a 150 in the scoot instead of behind it. ;D

The thing here that would interest me....you could drop in a stock 150 GY6 that could be driven at legal speeds for a 50 without any troubles (like a high-compression BBK has). And yet you would have plenty of torque for the hills, and plenty of speed available to avoid stupid tail-gaters, should the need arise.

It's funny, I don't have any registration plates on mine at the moment, and I blow by the cops at 65-70mph and all they do is give me a thumbs up when they see my scoot, it is hilarious. Check the 9" stretch on my custom scoot.

I've had cops ignore me on a 50cc at around 60MPH on the shoulder, and then I've had other cops pace me when I was doing 30-35MPH to check up on me. I got a warning for 40MPH, but I was in a 25MPH zone. You might get lucky and you might not. Some areas are really cracking down on scoots faster than their scooter/moped speed limit. In my area, you could be charged with all sorts of things if the officer was inclinded to do so. Don't plan on flying by cops and waving. They might wave some papers at you after they show you that the cop car is fast enough to keep up and pull you over. lol Legal issues aren't really the responsibility of manufacturers like MonsterGY6. It's kinda like how you buy aftermarket car parts... they're intended for offroad use. If you choose to push it on the street, that's on you.

I think that this may finally make the turd top 50 mph! No, that's going 50 with the little motor and my fat self on it first. 50 would be too easy with the 150 swap, so I'd need a new goal.

Brent, Your so right in our area they are starting to crack down.. The state police are learning more about the scooters as far as what to look for. The county cops and locals are doing so just for something to do and to harrass some of the local boys who do not have a license that are running scooters because they have lost the license due to DWI.. So it is coming slowly.

I agree with you all, but just to be clear the scoot I posted above started off as a 150, now it has a 63mm kit, cam, 2mm crank, 30mm carb etc. This was not a 50-150 swap, and it is titled, just don't have the tag mounted yet.

Sounds good, but I'm not sure I like the 10" stretch. I'd rather keep my scooter as stock looking as possible. Not everyone want's their scooter to look like a mini rice-burner.

Hey Brent,

I'm not sure I'd want to get the local fuzzes attention with the stretch BUT I have an "out" on this seeing as I'm opening up shop next spring and mods are just one of our things that would be expected to see. I think this is bad ass! I'd love to order up a kit or so and see what a 190cc BBK will do on the 1/4 mile!!! Of course I want to see the same as Greg, a shorter more "stock" appearing set up. What you do with the legal stuff is all up to you as are the consequences. Speeding is a dead giveaway and if you live in an area where the local PD has nothing better to do (like bust gang bangers and crack HOES) you may find yourself shorter of funds and maybe even the bike too! That would SUCK! do the speed limit and most likely (even if it is 40-45MPH) unless they have a serious bug up their a$$, they'll leave you alone.

sorry about that, the cost will be approximately $395 or there about

$395 for just the bracket? Plus engine? If I sell my new Peace Sports 50 and buy a brand new 150 I get hit less with the depreciation than the cost of this upgrade.
The ONLY reason I can see someone doing this is to bypass registration laws and licensing for larger engine. Unless you happen to be so in love with your scooter model that you just can't bear to part with it. Or you are planning on stretching your scooter anyway and this makes it easier than cutting the frame.
Nothing against MonsterGY6 as I'm sure his is a very well built structure. But it is definitely not cost effective for the larger displacement.

If you look at most of the engine swap brackets for the Honda Ruckus, they are all over $400 This engine swap bracket is for those that want to trick out the scoot, customize it, stretch it, paint it. The idea is not just to be able to run a 150cc, I agree, otherwise just buy a 150cc to start with. There are a lot of us that want a tricked out unique good looking ride, we do a lot of this custom work here in Atlanta. I know it sounds crazy, I will post photos of the custom build we will be starting in the near future. We just want to take our plain little scoots and Radicalize them, if there is such a word. One more thing, these mounts are not just simply welded up in some back yard, they are deigned on a computer Cad program, stress tested with computer software, precision cut with laser or water jet, then professionally welded together in a jig, then powder coated, lot of work.

I have seen Steves TPGS-840 in person and the pics of this beast do NOT do it justice. This thing has cool written all over it.
And I was wondering when you were going to make some kind of a kit to mount a 150 on a 50. You are asking these boys to commit suicide! I just bought my 150 because 50 was going too slow and now you show up here with your bracket kit. Shame on you haha! And make sure you ship it UPooS so we can get it fast and on time!
