Better how? It depends on how much power you want.

A qmb139 is a 49.5cc GY6 4 stroke engine. A qmb40 (I think) is a 49.5cc 2 stroke engine. Which is better is a matter of opinion. Stock 2 stroke 50cc engines are generally faster and quicker than stock 4 stroke engines. The 4 stroke engines generally pollute less and get better gas mileage. There are other advantages/disadvantages of each. Does this help?

The QMB139 is the small block 50cc gy6 they are really the same engine just differnt size. There is also a few qmb two strokes but dont rember their number and again they are rare. There are seems to be more parts out there for the 150 gy6 than its little brother the qmb139 gy6. As far as power if you have a 50cc and a 150cc which do you think will have more power? Dependability is more a issue of the speed you are driving (how hard you push the small 50cc). If you plan on going faster than 35 mph or hills at a speed of 30 mph, I would recommend getting the larger engine. And if you plan on driving 45mph or higher that would be almost impossible on anything but flat ground with the 50cc and then only after a few modifications. But most of all skip the cheaper brands and buy from a dealer you can count on to support it products. There is alot in this forum on this subject so I wont got into that. Read a few of the threads and you will know which brand and dealer people have had good luck with.
