We just got this trike about 4 weeks ago from a company called Scooter Depot in CA. The model number is printed right on the owners manual. We have had many problems since it's first day home. Im no motorcycle or scooter mechanic but I did change all the fuilds except the water. Owners manual and support tech at Scooter Depot are terrible!! if you can get them on the phone. I still haven't figured out how to get to the radiator to check or change the water. We have about 30 miles on it and following the suggested slow first 100 mile break in. I spent an entire day tightening every screw and nut I could see and still terrible vibration with noise, the front end pulls to the right, and the rear end wobbles. Increasing the speed to about 35 or 40mph does get some of the wobble and vibration out but not that much. We could find a scooter store in our area to balance all the tires ... so I took the rear two off and had Walmart bubble balance them but it didn't help at all. The horn blows very quiet with the lights on and not too loud with them off. Don't get me wrong we like the thing but sure wish it didn't have so many problems. If any one has the same problem(s) as we do WE SURE would appreciate some help. We really have enjoyed reading all the posts and TRULY APPRECIATE all the help posts. especially to Jim We did call ICEBEAR but they told us the tech support would have to come from Scooter Depot. I have about 8 pictures posted on flickr. You might get a smile on how SMT got it off their tractor trailer. The first day they came to deliver the thing the driver couldn't get it off the trailer. www.flickr.com/photos/grandpabentx/Hate to be so negative, so we have had fun riding it around the neighborhood, it is a cute, nice lookin little trike. Thanks again! GrandpaBenTx Attachments:

The radiator and over flow bottle are under the "V" cowling piece under the windshield. Remove the windshield and then the V cowling piece. Then you will see the radiator. That is a bad design and I have told my rep at Ice Bear how it can be better.
For the wobble, jack the rear up so the rear wheels are off the ground, then start the trike and rev it up while watching the rear wheels turn. You are looking for a wobble in the rear. It could be a bent hub. We had one that the hub was bent, replaced it and fixed the problem.
For electrical issue, use a mutimeter and check the voltage at the battery with the trike on high idle and make sure it is between 12.8 and 13.2 volts.

Yes , you have to charge the battery, they do come with a charge but not a ful charge. Get yourself one of these, it works great. You can actually leave it plugged in ALL the time if not going to use it. Also put some weather stripping on the Fender holders that hold the Fenders between the fender and the holders that will quiet the rattleing back there. Just a real big vibration.already putting stress cracks in fender. Had tires spun. What is a rear hub?? Rear left looks like it is towed in??

Here is a few other things to check....
Make sure both sprokets on chain are tight, put a wrench on them....Mine on the gear axle took almost 3 turns vibrations Gone......
Make sure the cable for shifter (forward/reverse) is properly adjusted so the are is full back on the axle. If not your gonna have a big bad problem.
My Magnum was now runs as quite and vibration free as if it were a 2 wheel scoot.
Every Thing on the trike section must be checked....put a wrench to it cause if break is one or spark plug is in you may not feel a loose sproket or something else..

I can't even turn the bolts if I wanted to. I am wondering if the engine is not set in right. I think I should loosen the engine mounts. Start it then tighten to see if the vibration goes away? What do you think. It vibrates real bad at idle in the handle bars. Plus the rear vibration is starting to put stress cracks in the fender. I did have the tires spun. They are balanced.

If the engine is vibrating you need to adjust the CARB and Idle to get the Right Fuel Ratio and it will smooth out quite a bit. Actually watching the Mirrors is a good way to get the smoothest idle out of it, that is how I do it. It should Idle around 1500-1800 RPMS and If one or both of the rear wheels is wobbling the wheel and or wheels or loose on the HUB or the HUB is actually bent. The HUB is the Metal round piece that the RIM BOLTS ONTO that is called a HUB. Now Jack up the side that you see the Wheel Wobble and grab it say 9 O'Clock and 3 O'Clock and try rocking it. If it ROCKS you have to Tighten up the CASTLE NUT on the SHAFT. If it does not ROCK then that HUB is probably Bent. Then Check your other Wheel. Lefty

Thank you. I wonder if that is why I am getting terrible gas mileage as well?

I locked my gear box in full forward, axle gear box also. One of the best things I did was run a one sided firm foam tape 1/2 inch thick cross the top flat of axle for the deck and also from thet flat over the wheel metal any were so the plastic deck gets pressured as much as possible. I am having a custom trunk made to replace the complete deck. My Magnum is as quite now after a lot of work as a 2 wheeled scooter.

Take and check measurements from front wheel to rears. I use a string on the 2 sprokets to make sure things are stright. Could also be a bent hub or suspension arm bent. Take things apart is what I have done to figure things out. Thes local shops know nothing of the trike section....

We found out that our two rear tires 190/50 r12 's are out of round. We would like to buy two NEW rear tires. Does any one know where we can get them??? We have tired Firestone, Dunlop, Walmart, NTB, Discount Tires and many local shops and many online searches. Any help would be appreciated. We dont mind ordering them. Thanks to all you guys and techs for all your great tips and help. GrandpaBen The radiator and over flow bottle are under the "V" cowling piece under the windshield. Yuppers, I gave him the wrong site....I am gonna order a set of them 21 inch babys for my Silver Bullet when new axle gear box comes in.
My speed reads 72mph when GPS says 68mph so I should be pretty close....it is 4mph of at any speed. Someone else had said their Magnum was 10 mph off.....

Mike: I'm with you. My chinometer reads 4 MPH faster than I am actually going at high speeds.
