I wouldn't know about that, but the proof should be in the drive I guess and the elimination of the bogging. I finally got to ride a snowmobile last year, a yamaha 500cc up in the arctic circle in Norway (I live in Sweden) and it was the most fun I have had for years, the -50o temps didn't dampen my spirits that day!!!

I don't have problems w/ my snowmobile bogging even when the carb is running lean or rich. Wondering if the scooter ignitions aren't weak.

Just thinking some more on this. You could be running rich instead of lean. Guessing that if your bogging is worse when the engine is cold that that could indicate a rich condition because when the cold starter circuit is at work its making things richer possibly exacerbating an already rich condition.

From http: //x1scooters.com/pdi.html As a final note, after your scoot is reassembled and you take it for a test ride, say four or five miles or so, stop the engine and pull your spark plug as soon as possible. You can photograph it and put it back in. Then, when you get a few more miles on it, say fifty or more, pull it again and take another photo, and then compare the two pictures. You should have a nice coffee color, not white or black.

Yeah, I think the CDI may be in for a change, but I think I am going to finally succumb and take it to the repair shop, I spoke to them on the phone and they said I could go in and talk to them and they can advise rather than just take it it in, which sounded suspiciously helpful, but hey, let's see. I don't really want to spend out more hard earned cash trying to fix this only to find that the latest replacement part doesn't fix the problem. I will let you all know the out come. Thanks for all the ideas and help, this post has become way to long to continue and I feel I am losing the will to live....probably as much as those of you that have been reading!!!!!
