Mikale,
Some dawg or dawgette out there should have a scrap muffler left over from a performance exhaust transplant. Hopefully they will contact you.
On the other hand, this is a great time to change your stock exhaust if you want to. Obviously there are many nice exhausts out there, but at fairly high prices. If you want to play with some ideas of your own, I've seen Briggs & Stratton mufflers successfully adapted, also tractor and implement mufflers.
You might want to gut your stock muff, and fab-up an end cap from something else, like a stainless-steel pot lid. (That's a COOKING pot lid, NOT a smoking pot lid... LOL!). Being old, I have to remember to clarify these things...
Worst case, you should be able to find something suitable.
Ride safe, if not quiet! And have your first bone on me!

Great project...
If you can't find an actual muffler end cap, I'd try looking at stainless coffee-pot lids, sturdy paint cans and the like... You can probably find clean, new paint cans at a major paint store in a variety of diameters and one might work when cut down.
You could also get a small piece of stainless, or mild steel sheet steel at a home-improvement store, and carefully cut it with heavy metal snips, or cutoff wheel. You could cut "petals" around the circumference and bend them over to fit your muffler body, then assemble it with pop-rivets or screws, or weld it together.
Good luck with the muffler build, and please do post pix (with sound if possible) when it's done!
Ride safe,
