My moped is leaking fuel out of the air filter. I don't know much about mopeds, but I've usually been able to fix mine in the past. But this time it's not electrical, at least not that I think of. Today I was riding it down to the hardware store, for totally irrelevant tools, but when I hit the throttle, it would ride normally for a few seconds, then it would act as if I was giving it 1/4 fuel. Then at stop lights/stop signs it would die, and take FOREVER to get started, but it eventually did. On the way back, I got it started, headed out. About 1/2 a mile into the ride back it died, and wouldn't get started back up. When I was feeding it on the electric start it would occasionally get a bit of gas into it. Well, I had to walk it home, I took off the seat and cargo area, and looked around. It's late so I'm forgetting to mention things where they should be, bare with me, as I'm tired, and have been inhaling fumes for the past few hours. There were puddles of gas on the ground, and they were all coming from the air filter. I took off the air filter and it's from inside the exhaust. I'm making this point to show it wasn't just a leak dropping down onto the filter, dropping onto the wheel, and dropping onto the ground. If you can understand what I said, and can help, MUCH APPRECIATED!

It sounds like a stuck float or float needle in the carb. See the video in my signature for carb cleaning.
