Did you check your throttle cable to see if it is still connected to the carb or is it disconnected at the handle bars? Check it out by lifting the seat up and removing a couple of screws to see the engine.

it could be a few things... The emergency engine run/stop switch is on instead of off. Do you have a alarm/remote unit, it may be set to disable at the moment. The air intake boot came loose causing the engine to run too lean and thus not want to go much beyond 20mph. You have a intake manifold leak where the engine vacuum is weak, check the intake manifold for cracks, holes and the vacuum lines too. The intake and exhaust valve gaps have closed up so much that the engine won't run. The ignition coil is going bad, check the spark plug cable to ensure the ends are screwed on. Sometimes, quite often actually, the two wires that plug onto the rear of the ignition coil become too loose to work, you might need to put on new bayonet connectors that fit tight. The CVT drive belt may have worn out causing the engine to rev up too high and you loose top end performance then.

motor runs, won't go. Does the motor rev up and it does not move, if so, sounds like probably a belt to me. How many miles does it have on it?

I was riding my scooter when it stopped accelerating. the engine ws still running but i cannot go anywhere. any suggestions or help would be great For sure it's not the engine kill switch or alarm as it wouldn't run if it were these. When you say stopped accelerating I presume you meant the engine is not revving up or it is just not speeding up to the normal top end speed? Or it will run but not move at all? If it is the later then get the CVT cover off and start from there. Possibly a broke belt, bad clutch, or worse yet as a recent dawg just had the splines strip in the rear wheel and since I own a Bali I do know that can happen as it has to others. JRR
