Just checking out some scooters on www.mxmotorsports.us (after clicking on a link on the scootdawg homepage I might add). Anyways, ran across one I found interesting: www.mxmotorsports.us/KMD-ITA-150-p/kmd-ita-150.htmAnyone heard much about them? I also noticed the names ITA and Vog associated with the scoot, names that have been given the thumbs up by scootertronics (Who we know to be reputable)... Is there a link between KMD, Vog, and ITA? And is this machine good, bad or decent??? Curious to hear the responces...

Looks like a real nice pegasus/people alternative. The price is definatly right. Just don't buy into that lying sticker on the side that suggests it has a blower.

No way its supercharged... I know that for sure, almost should be false advertising IMHO. I've been around and worked with many motorcycles, and to put superchargers on two wheeled machine costs many pretty pennies. I'm mainly wondering if its a reputable product, because at that price I'm curious.

It was founded by a guy named John Camden. He was an engineer for GM in the 50's and 60's and considered the father of the Root's type supercharger. (B&M stole his design.) Anyway, to the point, I used to build some for HD drag bikes. Talk about insane, custom made and expensive. Most of that supercharged B/S is usually added to descriptions by really shady drop shippers with really bad english.

Actually it really does have a blower on it. The side air fan for the forced air cooling system. It is a typical translation error. They were probably trying to come up with something like "Danger do not stick your fingers into the blower intake". On my scooters, they have stickers all over the place, warning you to not do things, et cetera.

Looks like the Qlink Peasus I'm still working on. Run away fast! Look at the post here called Qlink pegasus and dishonered warranty. Google Qlink_Pegasus Blog done by a guy that had overheating problems like I am having. In my opionion the radiator is not big enough for american long distance riding! So in april I'm installing a used 250cc radiator in mine in hopes of fixing the overheating problem. Looks like the radiator is the same small unit under the front cowl where the vents are! Beware!

I've already decided on buying this scoot, I was just wondering what everyone thought... So there'll be no "running away fast"(just some riding away fast). Sorry xciting500rider to hear about your problems with the QLink, they've been a awesome company for most, so you should get everything fixed just fine. Plus, keep in mind alot of scoots can look the same, but be in totally different worlds with quality and components. Just a reminder on that!

now that I think about it, the 'supercharger' sticker is nothing more than bad chinglish trying to say it's air cooled.

What a crock! I just got to paste this from the Scooter Depot site. <<<<<<<Enhanced Headlights: This 260cc scooter features ultimately enhanced headlights with low beam - high beam. These headlights are bigger and provide light at angles that most mopeds cannot support.>>>>> Got to get me some of those ultimately enhanced headlights <<<<<<High Performance Hydraulic ABS Disc Brakes: This 260cc gas Moped features the fully upgraded ABS hydraulic disc braking system on the front, which delivers smooth stops in half the distance of standard. Safety concerns often put off potential scooter buyers who are worried about how they will cope in an emergency when it comes to stopping safely in the wet. The ABS braking system allows the novice to brake as efficiently as a rider with years of experience. These advanced new safety systems ensure that the front wheel will not skid under braking no matter what the road condition, furthermore stopping distances will be dramatically reduced by over 8.2 meters.>>>>>> So all new riders, don't worry about braking in the rain. Just grab a handful of front brake <<<<<<260cc 4-Stroke Engine: The Motor Scooter is equipped with a 260cc 4-stroke engine that has a 80 MPH+ speed capability. The 4-stroke engine ensures a fast and easy startup because there is no need to mix any fluids, just gas it up and go!>>>>>>> And we all know how dangerious it is to mix fluids these days. <<<<<<Exclusive Safety Feature, Powered Retractable Motorcycle Kick Stand: a safety engine kill switch is connected to the circuit so when your scooter is in parked position, you won’t accidentally start the motor unless you are ready to roll.>>>>> A spring-powered sidestand perhaps <<<<<Electric and Kick Start: This scooter comes with both electric and kick starting system, that makes it simple to start up, even for first time riders. If you somehow get into trouble though, then it is always great to have a reliable back up kick start method.>>>> Trouble! How could there be trouble in Scooter Fantasy Land? <<<<<<Fully Automatic Transmission: The cheap Scooters are a great vehicle for those first-time-riders or for anyone who doesn't want to worry about changing gears. The fully automatic transmission is very simple to use and provides a stress free ride.>>>>> My high school teacher: "Cheap denotes poor quality, inexpensive is the correct word." <<<<<<Enlarged wide Comfort seat: After a fell day in the saddle, there is not too much numb bum from the soft, low comfort seat. The 260cc scooter delivers much of the comfort and convenience found in today’s cars. The generous seat will carry rider and passenger in comfort!>>>>> "fell day" Is that a Freudian slip <<<<<ITEM: MC_X260 260cc Gas Moped Scooter>>>>> IT"S NOT A MOPED!!!! Mopeds have pedals And of course; <<<<260CC Liquid Cooled Engine: The modern 4-stroke liquid cooled motor develops the maximum permitted power for a 260cc learner machine, however the manner in which it is delivered is unique as it is fitted with a supercharger and intercooler, providing a spectacular increase in power and torque (12kw/7500rpm). An improved liquid cooled engine delivers a smoother, cleaner and more responsive power. This bike roils through city streets with Twist n’ go simplicity, even in San Francisco’ s challenging, hilly terrain. This is a great vehicle for those first-time-riders or for anyone who doesn't want to deal with the hassle of changing gears.>>>> I'm speachless. You know, it's one thing when we get when we get an Asian translation that's "out there". But at least they have those cute "slightly missed" phrases that bring a smile to one's face. But this, they are not only doing the consumers a disservice, but themselves as well. Not all scooter buyers are first timers and even the ones that are, most do there homework. And I got to feel that folks, like me, will be put off by this kind of spiel.

Are you sure Winston (Cypress) hasn't become Chinese? hehe. I can almost hear the circus music.
Ireland-- Why don't you buy something off of eBay? you'll get the same after sale service and warranty and at least they generally will hype up everything in English. Oh I almost forgot, what warranty?
Better yet why don't you buy from a dealer that frequents these boards that will actually reply to your questions

Slowscootin07--- I dont care too much (or at all) about warranty, or after sale help. I'm a decently experience rider/ wrench (worked for Honda/Suzuki dealership as a assistant mechanic/ assembly tech). Thanks for the suggestion though. I'm going to buy this scoot, I just wanted to see what all the dawgs thought about it!

It's good that you know what you're doing with the small engines. I'm a cage mechanic and I rebuild/repair outboard motors too. I was looking to get a scoot last year and could've easily bought a cheapy or two. I opted to go on the higher end of what I needed and what I could afford. It's pretty much tuned already, but there's always room for tinkering. I just didn't want to tinker to keep it running since I'll be using it a good 60 miles a day.
I know going into this with no warranty as per se either and not a dealer within 250 miles. I'll fix whatever breaks and I'm sure I can get parts.

One thing I like about the GY6 is that parts are plentiful... They're literally everywhere, and inexpensive too. Thats what a 20 to 30 year old design is good for, parts availibilty.
