From what I've seen and read Valley Scooters is a class act. The owner/operator frequents this site and is involved in the day to day operation of his site. Good luck on your new scoot, please post pictures of it when you get time.

I got one of mine from them and have been happy.
I like that bike, maybe you could do a review of it when you get it. Pictures from different angles showing the various features, etc..
Congrats and good luck!

I got mine from Valley and very happy with it. ;D I have looked at probably 100 drop shipping websites and from what I have seen I feel Valley is a cut above the rest. You might find one selling for a little less but I doubt it will be the same quality. Good luck with your scoot! -Zug

Based on the positive reviews here I submitted an inquiry on the Valley Scooters website. They offer BMS scooters so I was wondering if they were planning on carrying the Palazzo which was not being offered.
I was impressed that I got a call back, especially it being a Sunday (8/7).
That's where it ended for me. The man I spoke with was abrupt and kinda rude. Not at all what I was expecting given the positive reviews. Good news is they are willing to order in this model for me but I was really put off by the way I was treated. Like I didn't know jack. Also, it was all about the Motorino even though they offer BMS. He would not let up and didn't seem to hear me. Got cutoff a few times too many.
I've been visiting this board just shy of a year, as well as others, and absorbed quite a bit. I know full well that the Palazzo is just a refresh on the Heritage and is like all the other Chinese vintage style scoots but seemed important that he tell me this.
I'm not not afraid to get dirty and Learn; owning an 86.5 928. After two years of extensive research I purchased a beauty and I've done quite a bit of tightening, replacing, electrical and basic stuff over the years with the help of my husband.
Back to the scooter, if this is the way I'm going to be treated with just an inquiry why would I want to give them my business?
I'm hoping this is just a one off and not normally how prospective customers are treated.

I would also like to add that I called them in early May, interested in purchasing the Linhai 260 for my husband's birthday present. Same guy, same abruptness, and it's like he just didn't want to sell me one, stated that getting parts was unreliable for this brand.
Funny, I would have approached that differently ensuring a customer that he would do what he could to supply parts.
What gives? Does this guy have a problem with women? I mean, he's missed out on TWO scooter purchases!
I still want the Linahi for my husband, and the BMS for myself. I'm just surprised how I have been treated by this individual and we haven't gotten past the initial phone inquiries!

I am sorry if you got the wrong impression during the phone call. We have been in this business for over 8 years now and have been on Scoot Dawg since it got started. Because of this we have a lot of experience with Chinese scooters and have seen what happens in this industry all too often. We want to maintain our reputation as being the most honest and reliable company to do business with, for that reason we tell it like it is to all of our customers or potential customers and to hell with making a sale. Any moron that wants to make money can make a sale, all they have to do is tell the customer what they want to hear then take their money. We do not operate that way. I am the owner and I personally take all sales calls because I want to make sure that customers hear the truth.
When I get a call from somebody that wants to buy a scooter from us and that unit comes from a distrubutor who has become unreliable in terms of supplying parts, answering calls, responding to emails etc.. I am very reluctant to sell that particular line of scooter to anybody. What I do is try to stress this during the call so that there is no posssibility that the customer will think that I support this purchase. Having dealt with customers just weeks before that got scooters missing windshields, then getting the wrong windshield sent to them and finally after a month finally getting the right one I am reluctant to support another sale of this product. The support from Linhai has gotten progressively worse and I think that members can testify to that. And no I cannot do anything else to supply parts for those scooters because there is only that one distributor for the entire US and Linhai is not willing to sell parts or scooters to anybody else as far as I know.
So rather than mislead a customer and then get blamed for selling them a scooter I cannot support I will attempt to discourage the sale of that line by stating the facts. Then I steer them towards a scooter I actually stock ALL the parts for myself and cover with a bumper to bumper warranty that does not require the customer to send the old part back first and pay the shipping on it and then pay to have a new one sent to them. To me that is a much better approach than selling them something they will regret buying later and then having them come back to me with complaints and chargebacks and posts on forums telling everybody what a ripoff it is to buy from company X. For that we have Scooter Depot, they will be happy to sell you anything they can make a buck on. All they will do is change the name of the company next year and start over again.
No I have no trouble with women, in fact my wife is one last time I checked. As I said on the phone or at least I thought I was getting across is that the BMS and Motorino scooters are identical scooters and that she would get a better warranty on the Motorino because we import those ourselves. I always try to point this out to customers because we try to offer the best possible value to everybody that we can. I also said that I would be happy to sell her the BMS if she so wanted. I guesse I did not stress it enough as the post above says that she understands that the Heritage and Pallazo are the same and are the same as all other Chinese scooters. She totally missed the point and this was impression I was getting during the call which is probably why I tried harder to get it across to her which she took for rudeness. Oh well, you can't win them all. Inevitably if I didn't try as hard and the customer ended up buying the BMS and had a warranty claim I would hear them complain that I should have sold them the Motorino version of the scooter with the better warranty so they would not have to pay for a new starter 8 months after getting the scooter.
All I can say is that you cannot please all the people all the time but we sure as hell try.

John is correct. Sunright, the Linhai importer, has no idea of what customer service is and in my opinion will not be with us much longer. Very poor business people.

I would like to add that John spent a half hour on the phone with me to explain what I should be looking for in a scooter when I was first thinking of getting in to the hobby even after it was clear I was looking for information and was not going to make a purchase. I would deal with him any time and have recommended him and Valley Scooters to friends.

He probably does not remember, I ordered a replacement speedometer from him for a scooter, in 2006.
He was carrying a look alike scooter and it looked like it had the same speedometer, so I wanted one. The make of scooter had no dealers I could find anyplace. I do remember wondering what the heck this guy is trying to talk me out of buying a part from him. In the end he did sale it to me and it worked just fine. I can attest to the fact that he wants to sell people the right thing and wants them aware that things are sometimes not what they seem to be.
BTW it was a great price.
John, I had a person telling me that they could get parts at the Yamaha dealer that fit their Linhai, any thoughts on that?

Hi Everyone! I've never purchased a scooter from John. I have, however, spoken with him off & on over the last few years, got some really decent advice & even bought a few parts. The impression I got from him is that he's legit & knows his game, FWIW. Take care!
