So I was kick starting my scooter the other day because my battery had died from lack of use and the casing around the axle of the kick start collapsed in on itself. I had been in a minor accident several months prior and the scooter was still able to run so i thought nothing of it(bad idea i know).
I have taken off most of the body parts and all that remains on the back of my scooter is the frame, engine, wheel, and gas tank for the most part. The case on the side which i cannot figure out the name for(Ive seen things like clutch cover, etc) is in bad shape and i need to replace it as well as anything that might be damaged underneath.
My problem which will probably get me laughed right out of this forum is while i have unscrewed every bolt i can find on this case, i cant get it off. Is there some special trick to getting it off that I am unaware of or is it a matter of its on there really tight and needs to have a machine pull it off?
I cannot bring it to a maintenance store because i have no way of getting the scooter from my house to there and I know they will overcharge me for a simple $40 case but if i have no other option i can pay their ridiculous fee to have them pick it up and transported there.
My scooter is a simple Chinese made scooter with a HL50QT-4 engine

If you are sure all the bolts are out of it you can take a rubber malet and hit it on the ent while you are pulling on it and it should come off. I do not have a rubber malet so instead I use something to catch one of the lips on the back of it and pry it off.

Well from the look of things those are hinged hence can be folded in? My concern is whether or not the spline diameter is the same??

know any body with a dirtbike?yeah they are hindged.but they are made to flip when you "catch a root,or the ground.burm,etc".if not then it would be like a hook hanging beside the motor.now having broke many of them i dont think it would last.just my opinion tho

After searching the internets some I think yours may be a long case gy6. In which case just make sure the replacement looks like yours.
