I got this scooter here: www.americanmopeds.com/scooters-mopeds-50cc-150cc-180cc-250cc/moped-150cc-phantom.htmlOnly recently have I started to get it over 40mph.. And I've noticed the front wheel wobbles badly when approaching these speeds.. I have to slow down quite a but to get the wobble to stop.. I otherwise can ride the scooter without any trouble. I read that it might be tire pressure, so I had it checked tonight and the front tire was 5lb low, but that didn't solve the issue!! Any ideas? Thanks!!

Hi Tom719co, OK, grab the wheel and see if you can move it side to side. If it moves side to side look and see where the movement is coming from. It could be your actual wheel is loose, it could be the forks are loose which would be high up under your front cowl. If it doesn't wobble or move side to side when you shake it, then its probably that your front wheel is out of balance and thats why you only get the wobble at higher speeds. You will have to have the front wheel balanced. Alleyoop

or bad wheel bearing - made in China, anything is possible - this is something I would figure out as soon as possible, don't want it falling apart.

OK will check it right away.. I've made sure it's tight multiple times.. but didnt try side to side.
BTW I was a little wrong.. the tire pressure made it so the wobble doesnt happen till 45mph instead of 40mph.. so I'm having a lot less trouble..

Check your motor mounts and rear tire movement.
Front wobble is frequently a back wobble...scooters are funny that way.

I had a front wheel bearing go out with 400 miles on the clock. It made noise. No wobble though.
