Yes - just avoid prolonged hi speed runs for a while, and gradually work up to them.
I don't run mine WOT for any length of time still. It just doesn't seem like it would prolong it's life.
My 150 will do 55 - 60, but that's still not fast enough for the highway, although I understand other folks run it that way.
Sounds like you're enjoying the ride, that's what it's all about!

Running at full throttle was something we never ever did. The ideal cruising speed was at somewhere between a third and half throttle, depending on torque levels. I distinctly remember how the little 50cc we had in the mopeds used to pick up speed as the cool, moist night air replaced the heat of the affternoon, and one could go back a bit on the throttle without losing speed. If it wasn't for the hard break-in techniques I still would not ever run WOT. I even resent the cooling fan coming on in the Peg - which it does after after about 10 minutes into a ride, even if riding gently. I always feel that shouldn't be necessary, and it just adds noise I prefer to do without.

Now look at it - one happy dawg. 8?) I guess the temperatures is high at the moment where you live for the fan to come on after 10min. I would keep an eye on the temperature gage for a while if I were you. Does the temperature gauger drop after a while when the fan came on?? Check the coolant level & oil level daily too before a ride when the scoot is cold. This for the next 500 miles as you build experience and confidence in scoot. Never let these scoots idle to long as they can overheat in hot climates. The fans do not move that much air for it to idle continuously like a car. Did your dealer replace the coolant with quality long-life anti-freeze? The Chinese stuff is awful, causes corrosion, etc. You probably must be coming up for to the first service soon which is probably at 300miles. Get them to change out the Chinese stuff if they did not. Good to hear you are enjoying your scoot and don't be afraid to go over half-throttle, you and the Peg will love it. enjoy your warm weather - here this morning 0 degC and my scoot's gage only showed warm at the end of my journey.

I am still waiting for my operating manual. Tamara at Qlink emailed me: "For the owners manual you should get with the dealership. If the bike came to them without one, they should just let me know and I will gladly send it their way. We just need to check and make sure that they don’t have it somewhere over there first before I send one out." I assume there will be some instruction as to required service to keep warranty intact. I don't think they replaced the coolant, nor did they the engine oil, because when I told them that I did, they said I was supposed to keep the "break-in oil" for 300 miles. Anyway, I ran short bursts of speed this morning, on level road, just over 60 chinometer. It feels like it wants to do more, but traffic didn't allow it. My mileage is 180 now. 200 on Aug. 21.

My dealer called yesterday and left message that my owner's manual has arrived from Qlink. I am picking it up today. Otherwise, my Peg is purring like a kitten! ;D

Goes to show, there's always hope. Nice to hear good news. Gary S. The good news are restricted to having a printed manual with a glossy red cover. The contents are the same as in the online manual.

Keep the faith on the Pegasus. I had an opportunity to do a side-by-side comparison with the Honda SH150 last week. The Honda is a nice machine but the price tag is a little over the top. I have over 3000 miles on my Qlink and all is well. It seems to get smoother and quieter the more I ride. The 2 year warranty is the clencher. I have a 2003 Honda Elite that I'm selling to get another Peg so my wife can keep up with me. If you haven't gotten the windshield, go out and get it. Cooler weather rides are so much more tolerable. And when the cooling fan comes on, it'll keep you warmer. Nights are getting into the 50's here in the Pocono mountains. Ride local, ride on Attachments:

Ride local, ride on I don't know about that windshield - it's a bit overpriced at $110.00 for that simple plastic pane. And I do like the wind in my face a bit, anyway. In winter I will slip into my Camry. I AM looking forward to the 1000 mile mark so I can switch to synthetic oil - supposedly it'll smooth out the sound a bit more.

Now look at it - one happy dawg. 8?) Hey Kiwiscoot - when I picked up my manual today I sat on one of the many RV250s at my dealer's store. The seat height measures the same as the Peg (a bit over 30"), but the bench is softer, which allows me to flatfoot both sides with no trouble at all. And the center stand is as well balanced as the Peg's, which makes it easy to handle. Bottom line, I am in love again! ;D I am afraid I am just an incorrigible scooter whore!

Now Al, have you had a sit on a Citycom. I'm just back from a 130km trip all at 120kph on the clock. I just love it, I'm in love the whole time. Don't worry about flatfoot, you only need a little bit of foot on both sides of the scoot to balance nicely. Did you ride the RV250?? You'll probably be blown away by how smooth it is compared to the 150. SYM stands for Smile Your Miles - I have for almost 9000kms - Yahoo

Now Al, have you had a sit on a Citycom. That is what I was looking for, but my dealer doesn't have it in his showroom. I specifically wanted to check the seat height. Well, yeah - I have no trouble falling in love...! "A liittle bit of foot" won't cut it at my age - I need a whole lot of foot to hold up that kind of weight. To drop all that plastic on hard concrete is a scary thought! The CityCom seat is almost 3" higher than the RV! Not yet, although he invited me. I guess I was afraid of liking it too much! . In a way this is like avoiding to go to the animal shelter before you are ready to go home with a new dog! Maybe I need to wear the smile of anticipation for a while longer, because my "Peggy Zoom" is purring along OK for now. Do you realize I could buy three Pegs for the price of one CityCom? The only used SYM I see locally is this HD200: medford.craigslist.org/mcy/1324915556.htmlBut that would only be a half measure again! IF I could see one of the bigger two models for a good price I may weaken! But there is no sign of a RV or CityCom.

The CityCom seat is almost 3" higher than the RV! Believe me you don't need to keep any weight up. All the weight is down low as center wheel height. I find it lighter than my wife's ITA/Xingyue 150 as the ITA's fuel tank is higher. When you put your feet down on both sides the Citycom just balances perfect. I can even ride at less that 10kph, easy. I sometimes creep up to the back of a line of cars at traffic lights when there is no car behind me as I'm to lazy to put my feet down!! Now I can't do that with my wifes ITA, because the center of gravity of the whole package (scoot+me) is higher. Where the center of gravity is is what makes the difference. Enjoy that Peg of yours, I enjoy my wife's ITA everytime I take it out.

i had the same problem with my scoot. It ran fine last summer. This spring went to fire her up, and nothing. Starter would turn over, but no spark. Called the dealer and they said bring her in since still under warranty. Put her on the truck, took her down to dealer, took her off the truck and she fired right up! They kept it for 2 weeks and said she fired up everytime. I took her back home and she started for 3 days, then wouldn't start again. called the dealer, took her back down and he got on the truck before i unloaded it and fired right up! took her back home, and guess what- would not start. i was ready to run it off a cliff! took it back to dealer and said to keep the damn thing and figure it out. they had it for 3 weeks and finally it did it to them. they could not find why it wasn't getting spark, so they unplugged all connections and just plugged them back it, not had one problem since.

Believe me you don't need to keep any weight up. All the weight is down low as center wheel height. Easy for you to say with your sixandahalf foot size! That is the great thing about most scooters as opposed to bikes - the low center of gravity. But I still felt a lot more comfortable being able to place both feet flat on the floor when I sat on the RV at my dealer. The combination of the softer seat and the solid footing felt much better than the firm seat and the tippy-toeing on the Peg. I will try and not look at any other girls any more! ;D

Glad you're still enjoying it.
Regarding the weather, that's about the way it is here too, except being Kansas the weather just gets more and more psychotic until it finally becomes unbearable. Yesterday it was 69, although the record high was 107.
Glad the Peg is running smoothly and all is good!
