Thats the best way is a 72cc kit. Enviromoto has a complete kit with everything you need. It has everything you need including new rollers, Hi-Flow Air Filter, new spark plug, etc. Check it out here... enviromoto.ecrater.com/product.php?pid=3956695Slayer! Slayer! Slayer!

A lot depends on what speeds you are looking for. If you are happy with around 40 mph, then tweaking your scoot should give you that. You might have to increase the main jet size and open up the exhaust system. They usually go well together. I keep 32 lbs of air in the front tire and 36 lbs in the rear which helps with higher weight loads. Sometimes the speed can be limited by a restricted CDI, but the only way to really check this is with a tach. My stock 50 cc could pull 7200 to 7500 rpm and I believe it had a restricted CDI. This was equivalent to 40 mph with my setup. In order to reliably pull 45 mph or higher, then the 72 cc kit is the way to go.

i got the 72cc kit and i love it. its nicer because your not always full throttle so its a bit easier on the motor. also easier to keep up with traffic. my speedo says 50 max on flat but im not sure how accurate it is.

I have 2 scoots.... both the same but one has a 72cc kit and the other has a Moto Posh C.D.I and a slighty better exhaust (gutted more) They run side by side..... until the 72cc hit its rev limit then the other pulls.... i got the Moto Post off ebay for 42$

personally id give a unlimited cdi a miss, you have a rev limit for a reason and you dont wanna burn it up. "so i should lower air in my tire for less weight?" pls dont do that, it could get ugly. tire pressure should be around 35psi. best bet for upgrading speed on your scoot is the 72cc kit, and to answer your question it is safe as a scooter is gonna get.

Have you gone through the derestriction process that is listed here and on many other sites on the net? My sister in law just bought a cheapo 50 and it'll hold 40+ on the flats and can touch 50 on a downhill. All we've done is rerout some ducting for intake air flow and checked the jetting. There was not variator restrictor on this one. Air pressure is just under 40psi per tire.

I wouldn't mess with your CDI... You'll just end up over-revving your engine until it blows a ring... all for a couple miles per hour faster. You're better off making other modifications.

I dont think his engine makes enough power to push the scooter to its over rev limits unless he breaks a belt! Advancing the Spark timing with a CDI will increase HP. As long as he is not getting knock it will be fine. and if there is knock just add some fuel, it will help keep it cooler.
