You did install all new rings on the new piston when you installed the new one right?

Why would you do that? Just remove the spark plug and dont put it into the coil socket.

I GOT IT EVERYBODY, it turns out that the piston was on upside down and the intake/exhaust grooves where in the opposite position in which they should have been and were not lined up properly with the correct valves because of that. just need to adjust the valves quite a bit tighter and fix a flat but i bad wording got it.

just overlooked such a simple thing, but not knowing exactly what i was doing with this particular vehicle before or this type of mod i didnt know about that and i cant recall seeing anything in the repair manual about making sure about the grooves

Those pistons have an up side and a down side. It would be best if you made sure the right side is up. Otherwise you may have problems sooner than you would if it is installed correctly.

i inspected the piston and valves again before this final install and there is no scratches or dings or anything at all. i would assume that since i got it right this time those parts wouldnt be damaged since i turned it over

running like a scalded dog... I have now i dea what that means so i am gonna say maybe. I do know the valve lash is too much for my setup so i gotta tighten it up and figure out how i am gonna get the scoot to a place that can do tires on a scoot to blow it up and make sure it is seated, btw my tire is in fact a tubeless tire

Id get a cheap 12volt compressor from wallmart and blow it up then ride it slowly round the block a couple of times.

what is the trick about blowing up a tire to get it seated

IF you have good air presure puull the core valve out of the stem and it'll allow more air to enter the tire and blow up on the rim, then it should pop two times and it's seated.

i was thinking about something where you light a match after letting some type of flammable gas into the tire

ether works great just don't use a lot. I work at a tire shop and use it all the time.

I've re-seated a tire with fix-a-flat, the foam does it OK.

regarding the tire valve stem and the recall of them, i went to wal-mart and bought a pair of the campbell-hausfeld that they sell and i couldnt believe how incredibly easy it was to change those things with a valve stem repair kit also campbell-hausfeld total for the stems and kit i paid $4, then today i went to les schwab tires and asked the guy to fill the tire and i was out of there in less than a minute. tomorrow is my first ride to work on the scoot in almost a month. WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have my scooter with big bore kit running now, and seems to be running well. What are the reccomended spark plug gap, and idling RPM?

Kind of hard to say, Iwould guess 55-60 MPH down hill or flat road, MPH in small numbers to 45 MPH and now going down a slope it seems to kick into an overdrive and needle pegs at about half throttle. Plenty fast enough for me. Speed for steep hills has more than doubled.

just got back from using my scoot to drop off my brother at a friends house and the short trip requires going up a very slight slope, definitely a noticable slope though. looking at the speedo and even with 400lbs on it i was heading along at 35-40mph HAHA, noticed i have great power all along the rpm range pulling straight through 40mph by myself. just like to say i love this thing

I told you it would work out. Now make sure you change the oil after you broke in your new top end. I would say after about 100 miles or so.
