Had 2 weeks 197 miles. Recharged battery two days ago, remote started but starter sluggish but down again today. Recharging at 2 amp 12v battery. Not enough spark to start it - tried remote start/alarm, wouldn't start but alarm did and had to disconnect battery to stop alarm. Seems like something is draining my battery. 139qmb engine, MC-P21 from Deeal Inc South El Monte CA. What maintains battery when it is running? Also, long tube from carburetor hanging down by kick stand, can't find where it goes. Please help - sorry I'm so dumb.

The tube is the outfall (probably not the right name) from the carb. There is a screw you can turn and the carb bowl will drain thru that tube. The battery recharges from the stator/dynamo. If there is anything at all that stays connected, like an alarm system, it will drain FAST being only 2 Amps. Many people keep their scoot on a float charger all the time - mine is 3AMP, and has no remote or alarms, and I ride almost every day, so I won't need to use the float charger until I put it up for the winter in a few days. Chinese scoots batts are notoriously bad. The good news is you can easily buy a replacement online or at Sears or WalMart.

Thanks! Replaced battery and it seems to be working great now. The tube referred to is 12 to 14 inches long. Had took the scooter apart and couldn't find where it connected to - doesn't appear to be a drain tube.

Replacement battery now dead, recharging it. Something is either draining my battery or the battery is not charging. Stator or negative ground? Any ideas?

get a volt meter and check the voltage at a idle and above a idle to see if its charging. cheapie volt meter can be had for 10 bucks and can be very handy with these scoots. voltage while charing should be about 13.5 to 15ish volts, could always start it up let the idle settle down with the head light on then rev it a bit see if the head light gets brighter indicating a charging condition.

If there is a fuse in your alarm system...just pull it. A 50cc doesn't put enough juice to recharge all the voltage the remote/alarm/starter thing sucks up. Folks up in the 250cc section regularly rip those out. Nice idea...if you got a Hummer battery.

;D Thanks a lot. I've noticed the headlight gets brighter when I rev it up. Do intend to check the charging system with a meter.
