Just thinking of putting a racing cdi and coil on my scoot. I was wanting to see if anyone had been comparing CDI's. I know MRP is good. I dont know that much about NCY, or NKG's performance on CDI units or coils. Does anyone have any clues. I like to know what Im buying before laying down the bread, if you know what I mean.

MRP is a NON VALUE ADDED reseller. They manufacture nothing, they test nothing, they supply specs on nothing and they don't have any quality control processes for their supply chain. You can find about 90% of MRP's "products" on Ebay from 1 or 2 suppliers in Taiwan. These suppliers will give you more info than MRP if you send them an email question and will ship (via air) directly to you for a very competitive price. MRP resells/repackages the Bando high performance coil. I bought a Bando (umm, not from MRP) and plan on testing it vs my stock coil. On the CDI side, 2 genres predominate: 1. No rev limit high performance 2. No rev limit high performance with optimized ignition timing. Option 2 should be better; I'll hold off comment (except to say, don't buy it from MRP, it will cost 2X what it should) until I get my hands on one and can verify: dwell vs. stock, rev limit vs stock, ignition advance curve vs. stock YMMV, Mitch

MRP does nothing but take the parts they order from China or Taiwan and put it in there packaging or stick an MRP label on it. People here in Puerto Rico are crazy about MRP and they dont realize what they actually do with the parts.

That's what most companies do with their products. Very few companies actually own the manufacturing plants and just contract it out. If the product is made to their own specs or someone else's specs is immaterial as they are not making the product themselves, just slapping on their logo.

We here in PR have a huge problem with the MRP thing because people here actually think MRP makes it and its better than everyone elses parts. I keep trying to tell them MRP does not actually make it. Also like one of the companies here in Puerto Rico they actually get a company in Taiwan to make there parts to there specs and put it in there box and all which is great.
