Hey, You defanitly want to run the NGK.
I am not at my office but I have the model # at the office. We gap them between .023-.026
Normally they are gapped already though. You can buy them at autozone or any autoparts store. What a great diff it makes in the running of the scooter. I will post the # up when I get to the office on monday.

Is there a better one then that spark plug, like an upgrade for bigger spark? Does anyone know why I have to keep replacing mines because its the main reason why I have trouble starting... When I take it out to replace it would be burned and black.

The CR7HIX iridium is an 'upgraded' CR7HSA/C7HSA.

What is the benefit of going to the ngk c7hsa from the stock plug?

What is the benefit of going to the ngk c7hsa from the stock plug? NGK/Champion/Autolite are quality spark plug manufacturers. Theoretically, the C7HSA is simply NGK part number for the stock plug equivalent. They are also easy to find. To quote NGK on why the CR7HIX plug is better... www.amsoil.com/StoreFront/ngk_iridium_ix.aspx"NGK Iridium IX spark plugs provide unsurpassed performance in auto/light truck and powersports applications. The iridium alloy electrode is extremely durable to heat, corrosion and electrical wear. The fine wire electrode reduces the amount of energy required to create a spark while providing increased ignition efficiency and superior ignitability. The center electrode of Iridium IX spark plugs has an extra anti-fouling mechanism. A thermo edge between the center electrode and the insulator nose provides a gap for a secondary micro-discharge to jump and initiate a self-cleaning process."

ok I spent all day looking for the iridium plug, but nobody had it in stock, so I bought the regular ngk plug cause my other one was black in less then a week. I gaped it like it was said earlier 0.50, and my scoot wouldn't start, so I gapped it back to .30 and it started. Can anybody tell me whats going on. I was stranded for like an hour today again. the scoot will start right up if i have a new plug in it. But after awhile you can't start back to back, I would have to wait.

sounds like your running to rich and fouling plugs.. open your airbox see if that helps a little.
easy plug read. warm it up. go a mile WOT the shut off scoot still holding it WOT. pull the plug and check its color.. wet way to rich dry and black rich, light tan to tan colored just right, real light to ashy color to lean

Interesting, i'm gonna try that today after work. Another question how come I can never connect the spark plug wire all the way flush to the engine nomore? Theres always a 1/4 inch gap now, no matter how I try to adjust it and push it down.

If you were running a TORCH factory chinese plug, The NGK plug is only a hair longer on the outside half. This should not effect the way the spark plug boot is sitting. Is the plug boot goiing on snug, or is it loose. Do you have to force it on? If you are having to force it on, then it may be ste too tight. You can take the plug boot off, and with an extra spark plug adjust this. At the top of the boot, there should be a screw under the plastic or rubber, where the tip of the pkug seats itself. Loosen the screw and place the extra plug in and adjust the screw till the plug is secure, but can be removed with a little effort. If you have no screw than it is one that is crimped. Same procedure except will have to use a pair of pliers to adjust the metal band that secures the tip of the plug. Hope that helps.

I checked with the Benelli importer, and once again the manual is WRONG. The proper gap is .026, as stated above. Darn Chinese, they really need to learn to speak English

Euroscoot- look above......in this post. Harry has the part number- CR7HIX - its the iridium plug for the QMB engines.... he has good info and a link here in this post too! Read it, you will be glad about your choice.
You can get them online (thru different vendors), at autozone, or on ebay, your choice of vendor/seller..... its up to you. Shop around for the best price.
I just happened to find one on ebay recently for about a buck less that anybody else, but I had to wait for the auction, so again, your choice.

Just put in an NGK Iridium today. Replaced the stock Chumpion. I hate Chumpion plugs. Will post results.

Update: The NGK Iridium gained me 1-2+ mph top speed and much better hill climbing ability. The engine doesn't bog down like it did with the stock Champion.
