just in the last week or so a local car dealer has been running this ad. i dropped by and looked at the ones on display. they ranged from 50 to 250cc. interestingly the 250 had a label on the side that said: ES-250B. the "B" caughy my eye because of the discussions here about that being a designation on what kind of cloned engines are on the bikes.

Certainly looks like a standard gy6 configuration from the pics, but I'd need a closer look. Do they have the 250cc engine in a GS-R body or is that a touring model? I want a 250 at some point, but I'd like to stick with the smaller frame of a sport styled scoot so it can "camouflage" as a smaller capacity bike and I can continue to park it on the sidewalk without raising the attention of parking officials

some of the people over on the total ruckus forum have answered the question i posed in the title of this thread.
eurospeed is a chinese company that claims they are going to start an assembly operation in connecticut. i suppose that means they'll ship the bikes as a crate of parts and final assembly will be done in CT.
their marketing plan is to sell the bikes at car dealerships throughout the US. their goal is something over 1300 dealers.

Interesting. One of them looks just like a Lance GS-R 150. But the ad indicates that a 50cc would be $1,949. Since they are car dealers, do they 'deal'. One would guess they plan on supporting these bikes with service. Interesting, indeed!

I'd be a little wary of any company that can't spell 'efficient.'
Or is that their way out of any support questions? Kind of like how tasti-kake is neither tasty nor cake

Eurospeed...man it even gets better. I watched the dealer invite. They want an upfront franchise fee of $25,000 with a bank letter of credit of $250,000. They are rebadged QJ's and this was a shocker....also a rebadged CF Moto V3 and V5. They still use the designations of V3 and V5. They boast of a 40% profit margin on the scoots and a 60% profit margin on accessories. They are specifically targeting Auto dealers.

SO MUCH TRUTH SO FAR ABOUT EUROSPEED AND MUCH MISINFO 1 THEY ARE NOT A CHINESE COMPANY THEY ARE HEALY FORD OF ANSONIA CT. COPIED WHAT VALLY SCOOTERS WAS OFFERING AND DECIDED THEY COULD BECOME THE NEXT BIG THING IN SCOOTERS BY SELLING FRANCHISES TO UNSUSPECTING AUTO DEALERS FOR LOTS OF MONEY AND HIGH MSRP. I WONDER WHAT THE FRANCHIS OWNERS THINK WHEN THE SAME PRODUCT IS SOLD AT HALF THE PRICE OR LESS. ALSO WHEN THE PRODUCT COMES IN NEEDING SET UP AND REPAIRS DUE TO STANDART CHINESE QUALITY CONTROL. HOW COULD ANY ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND EVEN THINK OF OPENING AN ASSEMBLY PLANT HERE IN AMERICA WHERE WAGES ARE NOWHERE NEAR AS LOW AS IN CHINA. MAYBE WE DONT NEED ANOTHER SA ME AS THE OTHER ONE SCOOTER ON THE MARKET NOW DO WE?!!!
