Well its getting colder here ( woohoo I am a Polar bear ) I have several coats , boots and gloves . Well I need long gloves to cover the cuff . I saw some that were heated but pulled 12 amps . I love to ride when its cool and cold since easy to dresss up and helmet keeps me warm . I hate when over 90 degrees since I wear a fullface unless onlygoing around the block etc
I looked at www.cyclegear.com for gloves I was shocked that some cost over 200 , WTF I ride year round , I have a pocho but plan on getting a rainsuit . I feel safer with real shoes or boots instead of sandals ( only on nearby rides not highway ) and yes I know sandals is stupid idea . I am lucky I do not harse winters here like up north does . I think a scarf would be handy since cold air gets under my helmet chilling my neck . Gloves are a riders best friend in winter , mine are insulated but I would like better ones but i will not overpay since I ride a scooter not a Ducatti .
Anyone here wear a racesuit like those body armor type ?
When its real cold I put my clothes in dryer so they are nice and toasty . I have also used a hair dryer to warm up after a cold ride . I hate cold ears , but love it cold on my face .
I saw some facemasks that look cool with skeleton and Michael Myers printed on em .Would get some looks lol .
Walmart has heated socks in hunting goods that use a 9 volt battery . They get so warm your feet sweat . Since batteries cost so much ( do they put gold in em ?) I would gt rechargeable ones from Radio Shack if you opted for the heated socks .
And last when its real cold , hot cocoa tastes better as long as no marshmallows ( my preference )
