I was having a huge problem with my contra spring binding on one of my scoots.
It acted like it would stop shifting, and just bog.
I saw the Malossi Torsion control, but I'm not the "buying" kind of guy if I can
make something myself.
I use HDPE often, and it's such an awesome material.
Slippery, yet strong as hell. You know, cutting boards.. oh yeah.
I used a 1/4 in piece, with my hole saw, and came up with this.
It solved the problem. Now it shifts awesome.
I needed a bit of a stronger spring as well, so this actually shimmed it too.
If you didn't want a stronger spring,
I would use 1/8 HDPE or melt a channel into the plastic with a heated donor spring
(I used a torch to heat the donor spring. Keep in mind that only use a bad spring for the heating process,
as it would kill the temper from your spring)
