 Tiny bubbles appearing in paint?!
« Thread Started on Sept 10, 2011, 10:33am »

Recently I've noticed tiny bubbles in my paint and the surfaces feel like sand paper. Anyone else noticed this? Looks like I will one day soon have to sand the Chinese paint off these trikes and repaint. Man, they have such a good concept here with piss poor execution on these trikes. A little more attention to detail and some QC and they could deliver a beautiful, reliable product. Sorry to rant, I just don't understand the "slap it together and ship it out" mentality.

ibikini,
sorry to hear about your dilema, most of the scooters from mainland don't have primers on the paint, that makes the paint more sensitive to UV rays, tiny bubbles happens mostly on paint with no or poor primer.,,,you need to scrape it to plastic then apply a good primer then finally coat with acrylic paint. color code should be indicated on the scooter manual...
your 2 scoots are very attractive.

LOL @ the video. Thanks for the tip. I assumed it was from the sun since it's only rained twice since I bought the scooters. I'll wait until it starts to peel before I do anything, because I'm lazy like that, LOL!
